Does anyone want to use my balding RA-1's? I'm itching to mount up my new rubber so I can get a track record at Infineon at the end of the month.
They're down to the end of their tread but still have plenty of stick (they still turned 2:06's at thunderhill last weekend). Since my car has been propely set up, the wear is perfectly even across the tread. The center tread lines are just barely visible with maybe 1mm of tread depth. I'd say they're good for a good 2-4 more days on the track.
How does $25 per tire sound?

Jason, let me know if you think you can make this event. If not, maybe one of the other guys could take the room.

A) Sean tell me what is going on --I was just going on the LAST info you gave me . I didn't know you were out there with NEW info-J/K

B) I will most likely be going up & tracking with you all . If we all communicate we will not have ANY problems, and put a great weekend together of cards and some 'ing together. If you let me know I'll bring the table (the small one for 6-8 players) & the CHIPS

C) I will probably leave for Herlong , on Rt.70east ,from Willows on Sun. or Mon.

D) You mean in the "TAKE THE ROOM " part ---what you want is someone to share it with you ??????

What time are people looking to leave the Bay Area on Saturday? I'll be trying to get there a bit early so I can put on my track wheels (rain permitting) once I'm up there. [I just found out that my old ski racks will fit the Z and that I can get 2 rims on top and the other 2 will fit in the back!)

I'll be bringing the needed tools to change wheels and brakes and some other basic tools...if you need to borrow them, feel free.

Also, I'll be putting on my new brake pads and changing my brake fluid - if anyone else needs to do this, maybe we could do it together.

<Off topic>
Peter, what ski rack did you have? I've been looking for one for the Z for some time. I've looked into Thule and Yakima (I have a Yakima for my other car), but neither claim to have an application for our car.

I'll have to check the brand name when I get home...they're super old (I think my dad bought them in the '80s). They have adjustable clamps on the sides (they'll fit just about every car)...the one thing I noticed was that the lip where the window seals (and where the rack clamps will need to mount) isn't the most secure spot - but I think it's strong enough to hold the racks in place.

My ski racks are made by 'Barrecrafters'...I couldn't find the same model online though - probably too old.

Thanks Peter. Perhaps I'll check it out this Sun and see what kind of mounting brackets are used.

As for rain - the forcast had said it was going to rain all last weekend and Saturday was total dry...I'm still hoping that it'll be a clear Easter Sunday.

I'm planning on leaving my place around 2pm on Saturday. If others are leaving around that time, maybe we could meet up around the junction of Hwy 37 & 80. (Vallejo area).

BTW: I'm selling my house and it'll have an open house this Sunday!

LOL today is not Sunday. Forecast still says rain on Sunday. Believe me I want to drive since I haven't since Nov. I'll wake up early on Sunday and if it looks clear I'll drive up and see if I can pay at the gate.
