Default Great Story on the 680 tonight..

Tonight I was driving home from a friend's place around 11pm going on 680N, when a Camry zooms past me doing 110. Now I'm not going to act all mature and say I wouldn't normally race him, but I was finished seeing a friend who's grandma just passed away so I wasnt in the mood tonight. A few miles later, the camry slows down to level with me, and I look over to see this punk kid in his late teens, staring me down quickly before zooming off again.

Berryessa's my exit, and as I slow down to exit it 1 mile away, I see (you guessed it) a boy in blue and white come onto the freeway. At this point, the kid in the camry is still doing about 105 - immediately the cop zooms ahead and starts tailing the car. A few seconds later, the kid notices and slows down to exit (ironically my exit as well). We end up at the stoplight, with the Camry in front, the police car in the middle, and my car in the back.

BOY did I feel great when I rolled extra-slowly past the kid as he dug out his driver's license at the local Valero.

Speeding kills, folks. Your PRIDE.

And you didn't give him a little "toot-toot" on the horn?

i would have pulled in and accused him of swerving too...might as well throw in a potential search (judging from the "type"/description of kid, highly probable he had something illegal) and sobriety test in there for kicks!

ill be the first to admit, we were all there before, but im so glad i was so much smarter about it and those inclinations are eons behind me...lol

I was really tempted to pull over or toot on the horn, but like I said, wasn't really in triumphant mood til later

Just me or does anyone else notice more Camry drivers speeding like idiots all over the place in the Bay? I see atleast 2 a day doing what must be 90+ and weaving lanes on my commute. Guess their pedals got stuck?

absolutely. toyota drivers in general are *******s. i know because my entire family drives toyota and each brother and my parents acts as if they're entitled. i'm the only person in the house that drives an infiniti/nissan.

corolla drivers are the worst at speeding. i also live off the berryessa exit and every time i get on or off some person in a corolla is going over the limit and cutting people off.

not talking about 16 yr olds, these are grown 30-40yrs. drivers. i don't understand it. maybe because the know they're driving cheap cars they dont mind wrecking it and killing others at the same time. it's some suicidal juiced complex.

I remember this happened to me once. I was with my mom so I wasn't going to speed, and some red MB SLK blew past me and a few seconds later I saw a State Trooper approaching behind me with lights on. I couldn't help but laugh.

with so many idiot drivers like this. There should be different class driver license for people who drive compact cars and sports cars. Granted accidents do happen, but this way if a police finds you in a sports car with a different class license you are cited/ticketed. Just my .02.

IDIOT KID!!!! That kid should be bit!!!h slapped!!!

Are you sure his accelerator pedal wasn't stuck?
