However, 90dbs is the absolute sound limit in this event. Stock 350z is about 82-85dbs.

Should be an AWESOME event; I'd be there if I was in town.

For anyone that hasn't been to Laguna before, be wary of the weather, as it effects how well the sound is transferred from the track between T5 and T6 to the sound check off to the right. Best thing - I've found - is to make your 3/4 shift there, and make it a slightly longer shift so that you're quiet going by there. For reference, my greenZ at WOT is 103dB, but I can make it work with the shift technique and my silencer.

Are they your black sets of 18x10.5 +15?

Grip wise How do NT01 compare to RS3?

Anyone driven on both before?

I've heard they have the same amount of grip but I find that hard to believe.

Nt01 is a sec (at least) faster at buttonwillow than Rs3

My Vortech'd Z with headers, HFCs, and HKS exhaust hit 103db easily at Laguna. Even if I short-shifted slowly between T5 and T6 and eased the throttle, I was hitting 95db. If you have a sporty exhaust, you will not make sound at WOT.

I've now swapped to a new much quieter exhaust and I'm still afraid of getting meatballed at LS. It's such a shame because LS is a fast high-horsepower track.

NT01s should be a bit faster. They are 18x10.5 +27 TSWs, only 21# each (same as NT03+M and 1# heavier than RPF1 in 10.5" width)

To be fair, 18x10.5 RPF1 is 19.7lbs and 18x10.5 TSW is 21.25lbs. That's 1.5lbs heavier!

Ha. Well, TSW is stated at 21.05 #, so I'll meet you in the middle.

lol.

Anyways, Infineon and LS I need to hit up but they still scare me, Infineon more then LS. Infineon is like if you get brake fade, if your pedal hits the floor if you make a mistake or spin your cars basically totaled lol.

I spun out at Infineon. Hit nothing but gravel. There's lots of wall at Infineon but it's not as bad as it looks.

P.S. we can't call it Infineon anymore. Back to Sears Point...or Sonoma Raceway

A street car shouldn't be driven to the point where if you have a car malfunction it becomes catastrophic. Meaning, one should be braking early enough - driving at 85-90% - so that if there's an issue, it can be corrected.

I depends on where you lose it. Lose it on Turn 2, 3a, Coming out of Turn 6, 8a-10, 11, and chances are you're not walking away with the car intact. The back esses and the sweeper are notorious for chewing up cars that get into trouble. Pretty much every track day I've been to there someone has had a run in with a wall (whether by mechanical failure or driver error).

Scott - I've heard the term don't ever go 10/10th

Yeah I am young lol it's always been Infineon raceway since I first started going there.

SPF4000 - not really relivent but I've spun out while playing FORZA near the wall after the S turns, I totaled my car, I don't even wanna know how bad a car would be in real life if it hit that wall on the left side.

It will always be Sears to me. Been going there for long time. Infineon never worked for me.

I hate to call it Infineon. Sears point sound much better to me. It is also one of my favorite tracks. Thunderhill is boring compare to Sears point. I would rate Buttonwillow, Autoclub speedway and Sears Point my top 3 track in CA.

I just don't understand why ppl love going to NCRV event when traffic is worse than highway 101 >.<
