I'm signed up for 7/9 but might do 8/8 as well since my brother will be in town then. Now, only if these fuel prices will drop a bit further...

I am signed up for Saturday, 7/9, at Thunderhill with NCRC if anyone is interested. They have a school that day as well.

Hmmm very tempting. I Think I'm going to sign up for 7/9/11, question for anyone that's been there though...does the helmet matter? I have a shoei that I use when I use to ride my bike but someone said that wouldent work?

As long as its SA2005 or M2005 approved, you should be ok (M2000 should be ok too). I use my old HJC motorcycle helmet.

I emailed one of the people from NCRC and they said my helmet will be fine. I'll be signing up today or Monday for driving school =)

Change of plans - 7/9 is no longer available for me. It's a good/bad thing.

No, I've been there a couple times...but I have a friend who will be doing the driving school there that day. He drives a VW GTI.

What could possibly be holding you back from the track? Something wrong with the car?

The car is good. Just other plans that trump the track day.

Hey Solidfish...do you think you can give me a ride in your car on 7/9? I want to see how I can improve by sitting next to someone faster than me.

Also, I should be there no later than 7AM...so I will see if I can save you a pit space under the shades.

That's really tempting. Would you take a car with no oil cooler and 95k on stock bushings? Nothings shredded yet but showing wear.

^Yes, but an oil cooler is inexpensive insurance in my book.
