Got the car from Seth today and cleared out my balance. Got a little bit of smoke coming out the pipes (hope that clears up) and I got a code for the cams P0345 I think it is, got a buddy coming to clear it out later because there was a sensor disconnected and I hope all it needs is to be cleared since it's all hooked back up now. Atleast I got to see limp mode lol. In the process of cleaning all the dirt off as well but I think after a little bit of love the break in process should be good

BTW Seth I need to give you a strut bar back cause I dropp'd the car off without one and now I have 2 LOL

 

I had 2 codes a P0345 and a P1136. I looked them up and looks like the P1136 had something to do with the connector being disconnected and hopefully the P0345 was a result of that.

 

Sounds good..when do you think you will be ready to tune?

 

Depends I need to put some miles on it and buy some new injectors. If everything goes well should be in a couple weeks.

 

My bad on the sensor. Was trying to adjust that A/C bracket and disconnected it. Forgot to just plug it back. As for the strut tower bar. Ops. I thought that was mine, but I thought you came in with the bar.

 

It's all good the car is getting a battery charge at the moment then a good wash tomorrow. I need to buy some electrical accessories so I can fix the wiring to hook back up the Wideband and see what my A/F is. Until then the car will relax.

 

Well the battery is charged and the car is cleaned but it doesn't want to rev over 3K it studders but there is no code at the moment. I don't think the car likes the reflash ( running a little lean at idle from 15-16) so I might have to get the UTEC hooked up and get the car Dyno tuned. I don't want to break the car in like a baby

It could also be some other type of small issue but I would rather have it pro checked out when Seth has a chance.

The white smoke has died down a little but I haven't gotten a chance to get the car real hot yet so meh......

 

kinda sounds like it needs some more gas, and maybe work on the timing alittle. all you have is the flash for engine management?

 

I have a TurboXS UTEC EMS with a 70psi MAP sensor and want to get it installed but yea it was decided that we would see if the reflash would hold up. I don't think it can tho.

The UTEC is very easy to install no splicing all plug and play I just need a tuner

I can even get a Base map from TurboXS for the Turbonetics kit.

I don't want to drive the car cause if I sissy it I don't know how good everything will set because I have a little bit of white smoke from the tail pipes.

Pun would, Twins spool up faster/earlier and he will be able to run more power cause I am limited in my current Turbo size. Assuming both drivers are equal of course.

I'm sure we will overlay both our Dyno's eventually to give you guys a idea of what to expect.

 

^true, but RIGHT NOW. I'd say you'd win since pun's car is still in the ER. I'd imagine a 40mph+ run would still be interesting once pun's car is up and running though.

Sonic just got the part I needed today so I am waiting on a date, probably the end of the week when they can do the work. After that I can put some miles on the Z and then we'll see what happens but I dont see myself ready for a Dyno tune so I will probably review my options when I get the car back.
