Default Interesting Story today

Hey guys, so this interesting thing happened today. I went to Kahuku to grind some Giovanni shrimp with my girlfriend and on my way back home I got pulled over!? Apparently there was a call that came in to HPD about a Black Nissan 350Z speeding and doing wreckless driving? I got pulled over in Wahiawa; not sure why it was so far but I did. This is how it pretty much went,

Me: "How are you officer, whats the problem?"

Officer: "We got a call in from Kahuku about you weaving and speeding through lanes. Did you come from Kaneohe?"

Me: "Kaneohe?! no, I was in Kahuku?"

Officer: "Well yea, in that area"

Me: "Um..ok. If this about me over-taking a couple of cars, I'm not too sure what the problem is. I did it in a pass zone."

Officer: "We're you weaving?"

Me: "Officer, I had to get out my lane to pass 3 cars, and got back in. Now if that's what you mean by weaving then yes. You can't do much weaving unless you're passing cars. There's only two lanes going in and out of there. I did it once."

Officer: "Well you can't be speeding in that area" ::Followed by walking away::

Me: "Ok, sorry officer...?"

The officer seemed unsure about everything. He didn't give me a ticket, but I don't see why he legally can. He has no proof of anything. I assume some tourist called me in because I came into thier lane and they weren't aware we had pass zones here in Hawaii. I was like "Ok, WTF was that about?" My girlfriend was freaking out over the whole pullover, but I just told her, "Well I guess it comes with the car. It's black, its a sports car...oh well." HPD can be such asses sometimes...

True that. I got pulled over for doing 35 in a 25....on salt lake blvd near tesoro at 2:30 am with my subie. Who goes 25 mph on salt lake blvd?

As for being pulled over, I guess they were just checking, but they had no proof. Good thing you didn't get a bs ticket.

That's kinda like how the speed limit for the H1 east on ramp from Pearl Ridge is like 35 miles an hour but I've never seen anyone go less than 50 on it.
Glad you didn't get a BS ticket though man.

wait to you hear about the ticket that i just got recently...

so i am coming down keeaumoku and i am turning left onto s. king street. the street sign over there says that i can make a left if i yield on a green, so i did. as soon as i make that left, the officer pulls me over and then tells me i disregarded a traffic sign. and then he also tells me that i am speeding and puts on my ticket that i was doing 25mph when the speed limit on s. king is 30mph. wtf?

so now i got to go to court on april 11 to fight this bs ticket.

If you're certain the limit is 30, and he posted 25 on your ticket, you dont even have to go to court dude. I'd just take a photo of the sign, print it out, explain everything in a letter, and send it in. You have the option to do so. You should be cleared. I did that with one ticket and won.

someone else told me to do the same thing. but its hard because the yield sign and the street names sign are far apart. so the judge wont know what intersection i took the pic at. it could be any intersection that i take a pic of.

Don't be a retard. Take a wide angle showing both signs then take some close ups of each sign that clearly show they're in the same location. You know, you CAN use landmarks in the background as references. I have to pass by there this afternoon after work. I'll take a look for you.

That's why you just tell him "no, wasn't me" and "no, I wasn't in Kahuku." Cops don't ask questions unless they don't have s**t on you and are banking on you opening your mouth and incriminating yourself. If they knew for sure that you were the one they were looking for and had evidence of you being a reckless driver, they would have told you to GTFO of your car and get your b**ch azz on the ground without asking any questions.
