i hear over time it cracks the head lights because of the heat it traps in...but there are guys on here who have it had it on for years with zero problemos...i thinks it looks badass...

Hey...why not do it the right way. Go to tech one and have both smoked. No overlay/tint and a professional job. The shade is to your discretion. In the past I went the cheap way and did the tint but after time it faded, crack spots..etc. Tech one (Ryan), smoked my headlights and tails.....perfect job and shade of my desire. Not too dark for cops to notice...but noticable from stock. They can completely black it out if that is what you want. I Dont have the tails anymore, replaced with JDM clears. Hey, just mentioning another option

I have gotten a ticket for dark tails... Actually it was just a part of a really fat ticket. I've learned my lesson (rock the front plate, no tinted tails, and recon) - state owns me.

Do what u want, but expect to get caught. I used to listen to the stories of people who have been getting away with **** for xxx long, blah blah. What they don't mention is how often they drive, where they drive, how modded their car really is, etc. And when u do get caught... Well the ticket I mentioned earlier was for over $400.

Yep! thats good!. I had my backup lights already tinted and got charged that price for just the tails...so you doing good. Oh, and they looked perfect, like Nissan had smoked them from the jump. So if you go that route you wont be sorry. I didn't go too dark but dark enough to be noticable next to a stock Z with no tint/smoke. Good luck!

i had mine on for about a year i wouldnt do it just because your going to get stress cracks from the insulated heat wont effect the tail lights but its not as bright and you can only see cracks at night doesnt look bad but id rather go with blacked out lights with all the reflectors removed next time and as for police havent been pulled over yet for em
