Default took your guys advice

ok so after i posted my last pics you guys said i should get a tripod so i picked one up last night and i dont think i need a new camara i got a cannon power shot s3 is.. I think its just that i dont know how to use it.. i tried reading the manual but that was very confusing.. Anyone got tips on what settings and what not? and how do i get it to focus on whats in front and blur out the back ??

I learned how to shoot with a S3. I just went out and tried different thing in different settings till I got what I wanted. Don't be scared to try thing. Is a digital camera, if you don't like it, delete it

thanks guys.. and ya i cant find a place to take pictures at all i pretty much just wanna take nice pictures of my car nothing else really

You can start off by taking pictures with a colored backdrop that would have good contrast with your color car & make sure it's not too busy. Otherwise, you may loose the lines of your car in the background. A good example of an easy background is a red brick wall if you had a DB Z. High contrast between the red & blue would make the Z's color pop. Try not to take pictures when the sun is high on a clear day. That would cause too many dark shadows & sometimes washout the colors by the hard light. If that is the only time of day you have to take pics, try and wait for a cloud to cover the sun so the sunlight is diffused & softer. A cloudy day is usually the best daylight to take pics. Dawn or Dusk light are good times as well. Hope that helps.

...I feel so inadequate. You see, I'm 59 & a total lliterate, computer-wise.
Don't know how to take pics of my beast ('04 Tour' Coupe). My only hope are my 25-yr.-old son & my 18-yr.-old daughter. I'm really interested in posting
pics, so I guess I'll have to do something 'bout it!
