Default How to: Light Sculptures

Created sculptures with light! Here's how to do it: (Mar '08 Digital Camera World... pages 12-17)

http://www.zinio.com/express3?issue=...o=int&prev=sub

You can do like me and download the Zinio browser and buy the issue. I have a subscription to the digital versions of Shutterbug and PopPhoto, and I can tell you, I love it.

Still have to get better at this...

looks like there's a ghost of you in #2. that looks soooooo sick....how is it that the camera doesn't pick you up when you sculpt? even though you're always moving, shouldn't it pick up blur from your motion?

i guess i never understood that about bulb. i guess there just isn't enough light reflecting off of you going into the sensor right?

The "ghost" is there because of the overhead light lighting the back wall. Since I was standing there, light reflecting from the wall to the sensor was blocked for the majority of the time.

Yep, since the exposure times and aperture is small, there just isn't enough light to illuminate "you."

I've got more ideas to try... man, I can't wait.
