Very cool.
What are some good resources to learn how to do HDR? I'm clueless.

There was a very good HDR how to on here I'll try to dig it up..

I had my photographer study up before doing a photoshoot of the Z. Basically it's taking multiple shots of the same thing just in different exposures and layering them on top of each other using a program.

im pretty good with HDR on stationary object but HOW do you get an HDR shot out of 1 shot like so:

ive tried shooting in RAW and then changin that one image's exposure to multiple values and saving each and trying to combine them but they come out like doodoo

what gives...

here's some of HDR shots to show i understand the concept, i jsut dont know how to achieve an HDR shot of say a busy street cause i get ghost images and blurs. but heres my work:

I think the trick is luck. My background right now is a shot of Shibuya at night with lots of movement by people but the cars are stationary. Just blend them together and hopefully get lucky?

Yup that's an Evo. He's deff a talented photographer but like anything in life practice makes perfect and I'm sure there are little tricks to help make the process of shooting a moving HDR pic.

Anthony C, I think your foray in to HDR is better than most of what I see on this site; OP, I think a lot of guys here need to look at that link and see HDR that has been done RIGHT. Too often I see it done poorly, and it just ruins the technique.

thanks for the kind word guys....

as much as i hate when ppl throw around the word "photoshoot" when they take a few pics of a car from multiple angles with a point n shoot camera, and they look like garbage i also hate when ppl post HDR photos that look soo airbrushed and noisy. sometimes the airbrush looks good (kinda what i went with, with the shot of my friends Evo, but i prefer a more real look)

i just need to learn how to do an HDR shot of one raw image. .. to be honest though, i havent really tried due to the fact i hardly use my camera in the winter time...

if you use "camera raw" plug in for photoshop... push the clarity bar all the way up. then under expose it a bit and then use the "fill light". It'll start to give you an HDR feel.

then when you open it you just have to play with shadows/highlight.. contrast... and other tonal adjustments.

I did some of that in these photos... nothing as major as the pic of the girl you posted.

flash used in that one too.

very minor in that one... just to keep myself "real" lol

probably the most adjustments out of them all

havent played with it much past that... but it's somewhere to start if you're looking to try and give it the "three exposure" HDR look
