not sure if anyone is interested but since i posted above i will let you know how I wired up my Haltech to turn on my oem fans. I wired this up to the low speed fans. I used AUX 2 from the H-PNP and tapped it into the relays for the fans in the IPDM. Set the threshold to 90 C instead of oem ~99 C. Below is where I tapped it into.
Now my fans come on earlier. YAY.
NOTE: The pinouts above are only for the older model ie: non-revup etc.

I believe it can if you're creative enough with wiring up the harness . I'm sure the IP folks will chime in with some info on a vehicle specific harness shortly.
Check this website out - they are already working on a GTR version - and claim it will be up and running in a few weeks!!!

Hal,
I know you guys are working on integration with the stock CEL system for the Haltech. I like the proEFI's ability to throw a CEL to warn about certain conditions. Would it be possible to actually "label" cells in some way so if that condition occurs, it could trigger a specific CEL code. So rather than that cell outputing a signal or correction, it actually spit out a code?
That would be a very cool safety control/warning system! It's one of the most attractive announced features for the proEFI (IMO).

So I have also upgraded my UTEC to Haltech. I am expecting it from day to day. QUESTION. Can Haltech alter the max RPM limit of a 04~06 engine? According to manual this is not the case.
Also I can not find the active knock control anywhere in the new firm-soft ware

For now, the 05-06 guys will need to have their factory ECU rev limit reflashed.

That is impressive, I am glad to hear they are on the ball for the GT-R.
I am assuming it would be plug and play of course
Maybe I will be getting a GT-R sooner than expected.....

The GT-R is on the dyno now - started right up with the Haltech Platinum on the first try. It should be at the track soon to test before/after tune.
Also, we are working on the HR plug+play harnesses now. Currently it is available as a wire-in unit.

So I suppose that with my car the rev limit works fine. I have a 03 model. Thanks for the info.

Warning: this is a dumb question:
The new G8 has something where when cruising a few of the cylinders turn off to conserve fuel, could something like that be programed into the Haltech?
Certainly not a performance oriented idea but someone might consider useful. I don't care about gas milage because I never drive the Z but...

External Haltech Ground Needed?
I mounted my Haltech to the plastic cover under the glove compartment in a G35 Coupe.
Should I run an external ground from the Haltech to the frame of my car? I remember some early UTECs have grounding issues, but I have not noticed any with my Haltech.
I thought I read somewhere that the Haltech was internally grounded through the cables. Does anyone know if this is accurate?
Thanks!
