Injected Performance brings you HALTECH PLATINUM PNP STANDALONE
This thred has convinced me to replace my UTEC with a Haltech.
Is there a base map available so I can start up and maybe drive carefully to my tuner.
Got Greddy TT's built block, RC 750cc's, Kinetix SSV (and just about everyting else as well
)
Can I get one if I sent a PM, in stock?

I was hoping someone would be able to say whether the Haltech is internally grounded through the cables or whether an external ground would actually help. I don't want to bother running one if it won't help any.

Sorry if this has been covered but 6 pages later I'm getting a bit weary looking at posts from last year: I am doing a VQ35DE conversion and looking for a standalone EMS. I put a post up a while back asking about standalones & the Haltech came up as a good choice.
Now it seems that I need a standard ECU to run the drive-by-wire, cruise control etc that I thought the Haltech did as a standalone ECU. Is this true that I need both to run the VQ with cruise control and D-B-W or can the Haltech sit on its own & run the show?
Thanks,
JP

JP,
The stock ECU does control the DBW and cruise control as well as power all the interior gauges. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me.

I downloaded the software from the injected web site and tried to connect to the haltech to do some logging . It wouldnt connect and said I needed the drivers . Are the drivers on the disc ? The shop never gave it to me . Does the disc come with the ECU ? Help !!!!!!!

If that doesnt work, give Hal@IP a call, and I am sure he can send you something that will work for you.

Booger, I replied to your PM. As they said , restart your computer after software install and it should take care of the rest. What version windows are you running - the new software works with XP / Vista.
