Hi Hal

Thanks for the reply.
Got all the info in my email.

will check on my customer car later on when he return it on saturday,
I have advice him to use the stock ecu first because the platinum are too hot, The local dealer that sold us the ecu said that we need to upgrade the firmware to updated software with the ecu. but i search around haltech website/forums and cant find any support. ( They havent sell any yet and this is the first one that we are buying from them )

I will go through all of the process again see if the ecu are heat up again.

Thanks Hal for the Great support.

How did this go? I'm thinking of switching to closed loop...

My closed loop is now working great; originally, the older firmware had some problems with closed loop. The current firmware works great, though.

Hello, the HR harness is in the works but will still take time to complete. Nissan really did their homework protecting the connectors, which is why you don't see any of our competitors with them either, or even the patch-harness companies. They have been reproduced for us now, and with a little time to build/test/manufacture we will be in business. In the meantime, the Platinum can be hardwired into the HRs.

In regards to remote desktop tuning, this will be easier down the road with live dyno feedback via CAN from DynoDynamics. I can make a base map for you, but it does not eliminate the need for a good dyno tune.

This is not a problem. I run 1200s in my personal Z and idle is rock sold from startup to shutdown. 1600s run quite nice given their size, considerably better than my experience with other ecu's such as AEM requiring injector driver boxes.

The Haltech goes a step beyond the FCON etc in idle control. The stock ECU uses the throttle body and ignition timing to control idle. Haltech Platinum gives the tuner the ability to select individual cells to pass the stock computer's timing values through to the coils for perfect stock-like idle control.

I run 1000 cc HKS injectors and have idle set at 800 rpms (JWT S2 cams). No problem at all with idle or startups, warm or cold.

PS> Eagerly awaiting the 32 in/out module.

Not sure if many of you know this, but we switch to Haltech for our race car, and its been performing perfectly. Hey Hal, send over the digital dash for testing please.

Yes, for some time now. Works excellent I may add, verified by multiple customers, our drag car, and my personal Z. Also, just to note: Haltech Platinum gets the individual wheel speed channels from the factory CAN system (along with steering angle, G-sensor, yaw etc where applicable), so no wiring needed. Haltech also processes these channels to make it's calculated overall wheel slip channel, along with front/rear etc.
