So it's GPS based lap timing, and doesnt require a beacon. Nice!!

Edited One model is display-only for live viewing of engine/sensor information. The $1495 model includes gps, g-sensor, 32 channel datalogging, etc.

Any extra sensors needed?

The Haltech Platinum uses the factory sensors, and the new dash reads all of that information (rpm, coolant temp, air temp, etc) from a Haltech CAN channel. You can add any additional sensors you like to the dash, such as fuel pressure, oil pressure, egt, ebp, etc.

Hal,

Any word on the fix for G35's? None of the wheel speed, vehicle speed, or wheel slip channels work on my G35's Haltech. Apparently the problem is "some" G35's. It's not only mine.

Is the problem only G35's with the RevUp engine or is it just some G35's? I keep checking the firmware download folder every day hoping to see this fixed for G35 Coupes... I want to use this, too!!!

.

I believe it's been fixed and we're just awaiting the official firmware release and (hopefully) final test. I have a non-revup (2004.5 5AT) and experience the issue as well.

I do believe that while the AIM dash is great for hard core racers, the carPC interface is where the future lies for street cars. The flexibility and ability to upgrade easily as technology evolves is sooo nice. The Haltech ECU manager interface is very configurable and works just fine on a 800 x 480 7" display. See attached pics - this is the screen I use for daily driving. (Sharif, see that AIT at idle - I need dual CAI!!!).

Here is a quick video of the start up routine, which includes an automatic reconnect to the ECU. I run three applications routinely: Haltech ECU manager, Innovate Logworks (for additional virtual gauge displays), and StreetDeck for all the GPS, MP3, DVD, etc. I can flip between them using the Preset-4 key on the radio (configured via SWI-X to send IR code, interpreted by a receiver on the rear deck. Girder is the software program I use to automates and integrate the carPC functions across applications and on startup and shutdown).

Z1- I believe fuel level is offered, I am looking into this for you.

JB- We have encountered some G35s using a different CAN channel for wheel speed. We identified the correct channels and calibrated them, now I am just waiting for the updated firmware to be sent back.

rcdash- really nice work, the car-pc looks great! Thanks for the video as well.

Still like to see a solution for the throwing of the P0021/0011 codes (camshaft issues) on revups...

Hey Raj, any word on the Dash Daq availability yet?

Now that I have seen your car PC (which BTW is very nice!), what advantages would the DashDaq give over it?

Oh, I see. I got the impression from a couple of your posts that it was working for you.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, Hal!

Sorry for the ambush-like post. I thought it was working for everyone but me and wanted to make sure you remembered.

The haltech making the intake cams run a different profile than the ECU wants to see, thus throwing the codes. Hal knows about this. I think it is only on Rev-Ups, though
