HAL,

Haltech changed mine when I had it installed where by my O2 wideband is actually connected to the external MAP sensor POS harness. ie: they changed the sensor numbers for me.

If I upgrade the firmware will this be removed ie: will this change be reverted?

Cheers,
Michael

Mr Rizk - My hunch is that the values will stay, but they did change some things in the back end from adjustable to permanent... so it is hard to say 100%. I suggest you ring whoever made those custom changes for you to find out.

I'm using it. Please let us know when confirmed. Thanks Hal!

Finally got the Haltech installed
Installed the latest FW version that comes with the new 1.03 ECU software
even though it was titled 350z 1.03 and re-uploaded my map it asked me to upgrade i say yes.

Now where the hell do I find the boost control per wheel spin chart.
Can't seem to find it anywhere

Are you setting up closed loop for the first time? I haven't upgraded so I don't want to mislead you if something has changed, but in my version, in the MAIN SETUP, you change boost control from OPEN to CLOSED. Then you can go to the boost control item on the left hand tree menu and setup the axes by right clicking on the grid and choose SPEED for one axis and WHEEL SPIN for the other and enter boost values as data points in the grid.

Anyone updated their FW to the latest and having issues with their 2 step.
Hal has got me trying a few things and I know he is real busy so I just want to see if anyone else having this issue.
Hal has been great and appreciate his input on certain things.
I wish there were more vendors that are as helpful as Hal has been.

I got a 05 G35 Revup motor and the new FW will not enable the 2 step for me.
I downgraded to the older Fw that is available on the Haltech site for G35 and the 2 step works great.
I have not tried the wheel dependent boost control since my car is not road worthy.

I've been just working on getting my car running smoothly with the Haltech. I'm 95% there. Then I have to tackle my o2 codes for emissions. I haven't even touched the wheel dependent control and 2 step yet =X

Not to be blowing Hal's spot, but he's awesome. Very helpful and knowledgeable. He is a very busy guy though. I have a feeling he's pushing hard on a few cars to get them ready for Zdayz. He also needs to get me a rom for my Reflash wink wink Hal =/

Down_Shift to test it you don't have to run any wire.
Enable the 2 step and put the rpm limit reboot the haltech and then
press on the gas and see if the 2 step cuts fuel at the rpm you set.
Hal had me doing like that to make sure it wasn't my wiring

There better be something here soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hal we need to get Eric from Haltech USA registered on these forums. I might just have to send him a little note!

It was great seeing you guys in person at ZdayZ but the wait for the last few golden nuggets is driving me crazy, especially after hearing what might be right around the corner! (I know, hush, hush, till it's released)

In the meantime, any update on the G35 firmware update? I want to use the new software but I'm waiting on the wheel speed sensor update for the G35.

Well looks like v1.04 was released. Not sure what's in that. If Hal doesn't check in soon, I might have to bug him with an e-mail! Hate to bother him...

For you guys fine tuning out there, has anyone used the "Q" and "W" quick tune keyboard shortcuts? I just noticed it in v1.6 of the manual. Has that function always been there? Does it average both widebands Hal to come up with the best correction?

I will wait for Hal to validate the new release. Thanks for the heads up on his whereabouts!

I've been keeping tabs for development on the Haltech forum (post requests here if you have them!): forums.haltech.com and the download section is here.

In terms of the auto-tune function, I tried the "Q" today and don't like it and wouldn't recommend it. I'm running ECU manager v1.0 and the function is present. It moves the cursor to the "current" fuel cell and tries to adjust based on target AFR but it seems the problem is that if you are in between fuel cells, it only adjusts the closest one, which can throw that one out of whack when it's really an adjacent cells that is off. Perhaps the "W" will work better, but I think I'll wait on Hal for feedback before experimenting.

Big negatory on the "Q" and "W" for "quick tuning"!

By chance could somebody pull a datalog for DELTA LOAD and TRANSIENT THROTTLE DELTA LOAD? I'm wondering if my G35 firmware is whack because I don't see much activity on those channels even with big blips of the throttle...

Raj, try running a trace on the delta channels rather than a datalog. You are talking about very rapid spikes which could easily be missed by a log depending on intervals.

I do not like Q for tuning, and have not played with W yet. Will report back on it soon.

As for 1.04, yes the software is available... but software without final firmware is useless to me. We have gone through a few revisions of private beta 1.04 firmware but I have not receiving a final full-working release-ready copy. I will add it to the site and chime in when that time comes. G35 channels should be included, as well as CAN-aim/racepak dash communication back online, and 2step working again
