Hal its definitely a firmware issue regarding the misfiring.

I can switch to 1.0 and have no problems. switch to 1.04 or 1.061 and it will misfire like crazy.

Firmware did not fix my aux output on when the key is in the 'ACC' position, so there is still something wrong with my brand new unit that I bought from Forged.

Also, anyone else having their the v1.07 ECU manager crash after it tries to load a map? I had to uninstall and go back to 1.06 for it to be stable.

^Interesting. I am actively using ECU Manager 1.07 to tune, along with firmware 1.06 without any problems. Contact us if you would like to send the ecu in for testing/replacement.

I called and left a message for you on Friday. I'll call again this afternoon

The aux out ground when in the ACC position might be a board problem, but not working with any other firmware besides 1.00 is not.

My car is a 2003, can you confirm tuning a boosted 2003 with the latest firmware with no electrical problems? If so, then of course I will be sending my unit back ASAP.

generally tuning with newer software and older firmware should not be an issue. From what I have seen if the DX9c drivers are not installed correctly that are supplied with the software it will crash after it tries to load a map.

Try running DXDIAG on your lappy and maybe re-install the DX9c drivers from the supplied software ie: haltech_ecu_manager_1_07_2_release\Haltech ECU Manager - 1.07.2 Release\App\DirectX 9.0c\dxsetup.exe

1.07 software and 1.06 firmware working ok for me so far... haven't had much time to test anything much, not even the temp data entry issue - but the car connects on each startup just fine.

edit: I just check my AUX output with my mulitmeter. Definitely grounds the switch out when the car is in 'ACC' and then ungrounds when the car is in the 'ON' position.
Sending the box back tomorrow qwith fingers crossed for a fast turn around!!!

ya mine worked ok for a while then stopped. I'm going to try reinstalling DX9.

regardless, hopefully I just have a bad box and its really not a firmware incompatibility.

Thank you Hal for helping out today over the phone

Found out it was the ECM relay so have to order the whole IPDM

Hopefully that will fix the issue with the missing voltages

No problem, glad I could help you get to the bottom of the problem. Also thanks for posting, I had no idea it was you (Giovanni = Glex25).

Str8dum1, I'm excited to get your box in and see what is going on. Spoke with Raj briefly today about it as well.

The box is there, so hopefully you guys have some time to get it straight. Its like XMas day but forgetting the batteries for your new toy and the stores are closed so you cant use it. LOL

On a side note, how many cars do you tune using VE? In the updated manual it has a section about VE tuning and how much easier it is and more adaptive to changing weather conditions etc. Seems like the way to tune, yet most Haltech tuners seems to continue using IPW. any comments?

^Str8dum1, I'll check it out. I tune primarily in VE. I prefer it to pulsewidth, with the exception of some large injector cars where math makes ipw tuning easier (for example, drag car).

To clear up any confusion on current software and firmware:
Software: Current version is 1.07.2 (autosave bug, details below)
Firmware: Current version is 1.06.1 (stable)

The current version of software 1.07.2 is having an autosave problem with some ECUs, including ecus beyond the 350Z line. Symptoms: The software will lock up upon connecting to the ecu. Haltech is aware and working to get the next release of software out asap with that autosave bug fixed. If anyone is having problems with 1.07.2, go back to 1.06.

Software 1.06 is available on our site, www.injectedperformance.com/haltech

None of the gauges work on my 1.07. I try to put a number gauge for AFR and it doesnt ever move. Nor does RPM or anything else for that mattter. Time to downgrade firmware i guess

Interesting - I have not heard that from anyone. Also, 1.07 refers to software, as 1.06.1 is the latest firmware available and does not require downgrading.

ps. congrats on the kill. You need incar vid. Be safe.

I got the engine rigged in the motor dyno after som work... Now the 1.074 software don't display any gauges despite the ECU is online. Instead I only got a page for customize the layout. What is wrong? we need to start tuning ASAP

So the guages disappeared? Can you add them back? Just right click on the window. I haven't tried the very latest version - the 1.07.2 actually has been working fine for me.
