small market, slow pace. I'd guess a new I/O box to be $500 plus. Very small market for that on standard builds.

Believe us, we want them too, however we are not the manufacturer and can not control when Haltech releases them. We were able to see the feature in action at SEMA and they assured us it was in the final production stages but sometimes it just takes longer than expected to bring a new product to the market place. The minute we have them in our hands we will start a new thread and place a link in this one.

20$ hobbs switch for that.
a pump map and a E85 map will work with the 20% O2 compensation for between map E85 adjustments.

i'd like to see fuel pressure feedback control (for fuel pump failure) , automap changing based on inputs

how does it work exactly? the haltech can store both a pump map and e85 map? Does it work like the flex fuel the proefi has?

no way. you have to make multiple maps and load them with your laptop every time you change fuel.

there's 20% O2 compensation that can help if you dont have a mixed tank though. but you'll need way different timing on that "transition" map.

would you trust a hobbs switch for that? I've nver used one but going by hearsay they often fail.

Also in the Haltech website they mention "Launch control" for the HALTECH PLATINUM 350Z PNP!!!

http://www.haltech.com.au/index.php/...tinum-pro-350z

And this:

Trim Module

The Trim control gives the operator a remote access control for finely adjusting either turbo boost, fuel or ignition trim. Can be used with or without a PC connected to the ECU. Ideal for tuning whilst on the dynamometer. It is suitable for use with all current model ECU’s and supports:

+/- 12.5% fuel mixture
+/- 50% fuel mixture
+/- 10 degrees ignition timing
+/- 10 degrees trailing split (Rotary engines only)
0 – 100% turbo boost control

Hmmm... wonder if they released a new firmware that Hal is testing? Hopefully he will post soon.

We already have launch control (aux rev limiter tied to 2 step).

So this is the second update to be released recently for the haltech. Why the announcement when it has nothing to do with the Z?????????? I hope haltech doesn't bail out on us like turbo XS did with the utech.

the announcement is for the ECU manager which every Haltech uses. We need a big firmware update as well, more than just a ECU manager update.

If the the update is for all haltechs what will this do for us. When they came out with version 1.08 we couldn't use it. So is this the same as the last release not for use with the 350z PnP? If they release something for the ecu manager, but we don't have the firmware to use it what good is it? I'm just trying to understand what they are doing as far as we are concerned. 1.08 had some nice features that I could have used.

There is a firmware in testing that allows the Haltech for the 350z to work with the I/O expansion box (12 more inputs/outputs). Hal has to sign off on it though, so we gotta wait and see what he says... Maybe there were still problems so they released it for the other units.

EDIT: So was in recent contact with Hal... He is hopeful that the next update will support the I/O box for the Z along with a few other (unspecified) features.

Does the "maximum boost setting" in the Haltech diagram (Port 1 goes to the top of the Gate, Port 2 goes to "Boost pressure", Port 3 goes to the bottom of the gate)

works with our setups? can I still run on spring pressure when I kill the solenoid?
