If only fab was that easy

More then anything it requires alot of expensive equipment. So in most cases its cheaper and easier to sub it out

+1... Custom fab work isn't for everyone. Getting things to line up can be a royal PITA. I'm sure JT could handle it, but I'll bet he doesn't have the equipment on hand. Hence: sending it off to be done...

I have been very lucky and have had a availability of expensive capital goods through both work and school among some of my friend engineers. If it weren't for them my fab project wouldn't be happening.

Just got word from Jeremy that the car is back together and running with the new modified piping. Apparently it looks pretty sick, but we've yet to see it run on the dno.

Also, buying up the new exhaust parts for the custom 3" exhaust.

That's it for now...

hope that helps. we have designed every single part on the car though.

MT Street Radials I assume? Should be better than my BFG's but not TOO different. I'm only running a 30 sidewall which kind of sucks. I'm hoping I can cut 10's on them.

Back to the car -- Hopefully I'll be getting news back from another dyno run this week, so I'm crossing my fingers. If that works out then all I need is to get the exhaust parts to Jeremy. Pretty much every piece on this car is going to be custom, down to the exhaust (full 3" dual tip).

Nope. It always seems to be "soon". I was hoping to have the car back in time for The Run event this weekend in Tampa. I'll post something here when I hear it.

This is going to be it, though. After the last round of changes I'm ready to have the car back with whatever power it ends up making.

yeah you get to that point where you just want to drive the car, 500 or 600 rwhp, hard to drive on the street anyway, you eventually lose interest in making big numbers just want to have fun with the car

Yeah I've been at that point for a while now. As far as updates are concerned, the best I can say is the car's at the fabricator as we speak for updates to both the intake and exhaust piping. Main changes are a full custom 3" dual tipped exhaust and revisions to the intake piping including mounting the BoV pre-intercooler (no more godzilla under the hood ).

Seeing what others have done on single turbo setups lately, there's absolutely no reason why we shouldnt make well over 650whp on the new pipes.

Damn..I was hoping to see it at the Run this weekend. I think we are bringing the G37 this time. Sandy wants me to take the Z, but I think my old age is getting to me. After driving the G37, the Z feels hard as a rock...LOL.
