Yeah, definitely want some pics...

Great job Sharif! Looking forward to following this projects progress. I just got my car back last week with the JWT BB700's as well and man what a change from the Vortech setup. I can't begin to explain how amazing the JWT BB700 Kit is. Every part in this kit is top-notch quality and the car sounds amazing with my custom dual 3" exhaust with Apexi N1 Turbo Mufflers and no cats or resonators. My car will soon be tuned by Sam @ GTM and hopefully we will have the same success/numbers as this car.

Getting my new Nismo front bumper painted and a couple other things(Stillen oil cooler, VRT radiator, DSS axles, HKS EVC)installed right now so hopefully I'll have my car tuned within the next 2-3 weeks depending on GT Motorsports's dyno schedule. I will keep you guys posted.

Oh yes, I bet you are enjoying that immensly. Believe it or not, we didnt have TIME to take pics....the schedule to get Jason on the road prevented that. I did send him some pics of the install process, but not finished car pics. I am sure that Jason has some, that he could post up later.

Do you think a Z with say, APS TT vs. JWT BB700 TT will feel much different at all Sharif, considering everything else is the same?

I know you didn't ask me - but I did compare the two when deciding what to go with. I ended up deciding that the tuner kits for both were pretty similar. The APS turbos are only slightly bigger as I recall. In the end it came down to customer service, availability and my builder's recommendation. Guess who got the other 700BB kit?

That was the picture I was looking for. I thought there were issues with BOV's on this JWT and you had to use the Relentless/GT Spec BOV kit. https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....&highlight=JWT

ON jason's car we are running the FCON, which does not utilize the factory MAF signal. So, we can put the BOV's in any location that we desire. So no need for a special kit...just a flange and some Tig welding. We do this all in house.

Hi Sharif,

So anyone with FCON and JWT(myself specifically, BB700) can run dual HKS BOV's without creating any pressure issues or affecting any performance? Every HKS FCON used on the VQ does NOT utilize the factory MAF sensor/signal?

Thanks,
Derek

That is correct. Most tuners will leave the MAF in place, to avoid additional check engine light errors. On my personal car, my MAF housing is deleted completely. The FCON completey disregards the MAF signal (or lack of a signal), and is run entirely on speed density, via a pressure sensor.

You can run one or two BOV's in any location you desire. This customer wanted two BOV's mounted in the engine bay, so that is what we did. I think it looks hot!, and sounds incredible.

So the dual BOV's are basically just asthetic right? Or do they provide any better performance as well?

i know sharif and brent run open dumps for more power but jason really just wanted that sweet bov sound so he used 2 of the new hks. i have to say i was surprised at how quiet the car is with test pipes and the evo tt for the amount of power. i guess i was used to some of the vortech g35's that just roar. jasons car is a low rumble throughout the whole powerband, quiet enough that you hear the bov's.
