If i were to do it all again I would do the Greddy's (for all around fun and performance)For the $$$ for the performance Some members will say that the Greddy's are old tech, and your better off getting some new school turbos, but who has really tracked the Greddy's (stock not 20g)???

If it were not for the 700bb.....I would agree with you. Before I spoke to Sharif, I test drove a Greddy and a JWT 530bb (could not find an APS to test).....I decided to go with the Greddy. Sharif told me to trust his opinion on the 700bb, and I am glad I did. In my opinion....I like the 700bb more. The owner of the 350Z with the Greddy wanted to test drive my car ....and he had the same opinion.....I know he contacted Sharif and his plans were to switch to the 700bb.
I do agree with you that you cant beat the Greddy for the price.....but for the performance on track and road....I have to say 700bb.

They are all great kits in the end, it comes down to "shooters choice"

Sharif has road raced his Greddy set-up numerous times with no issues that I know of. APS, Greddy, JWT 530-850 you cant go wrong, its all about what kind of powerband you like. All will be FAST on built blocks and beat 95% of cars they ever come across. Im happy I went with "inferior" Greddy twins, 400ft/lbs under 4000rpm's is no joke WITH top end to boot![Wink](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
All have pros and cons, best part of Luie's car is it hooks at 700whp and is very linear, which helps you drive smoother/faster out of corners! Zdayz next year will be fun to see myself and Luie going at it again on the backroads...

^^ pretty much sums it up... I personally like bigger turbos... so even if twins i guess the 850bbs sounds bad *** to me... but again..it all depends what you are looking for.

It is not in VQ's nature to make peak power at rev limit-especially a raised limit most guys run after building. Making power to 7000rpm's is possible, shift shortly after. Even with a drop off, my car is well above 500whp at limiter, it never feels like it slows down. Dont just hope for good power from 6000rpm+, look for area under the curve, if not I'l be seeing you in my rearview

I think 700bb turbos in an otherwise similar set up would have provided a more similar powerband. I feel that his 850s are restricted by the piping on the stock JWT kit. Expand the volume of the intake system (ala turbo manifold) with cams to optimize flow accordingly and I hypothesize that kit will show far greater gains than the Greddy (with similar mods).
As it stands now the Greddy is one killer kit no question - great performer and great value.
EDIT: If XKR could make it to ZdayZ, it'd be nice to see the 3 of you run at the same peak power levels and then at the same boost level. It'd be a heck of a long drive for him though. Actually Sharif has the 700bb now. So you 3 could put it to the test. (I'd run with y'all but it wouldn't be fair to you guys since you have to manual shift
