Motec engine management? Have they released a M600 that will operate the VVeL? Forget the boost and whp goals, if you can operate the VVeL with the Motec, that's the big news. Ditch the TB's for those who care more about power than emissions, and I imagine Hydrazine can work up some pretty creative manifold options Seriously, that's exciting information if the VVeL can be altered by a stand-alone like the Motec.

Will,

We are very excited to get the MoTeC running on this platform. Sam recently attended a MoTeC class along with Sharif and he is very impressed with the system and their philosophy. Keep in mind their will only be a handleful of people using this type of EMS on the VQ.

More than likely we will be using the M800 with a few added options. I am not sure on the VVeL control with the MoTeC but If anything can control it, it would be a MoTeC system.

We have a lot of products for the HR (Cams are already available) and coming soon for the VVeL engine.

I will try to keep everything updated with pictures and videos to share with the community as much as possible.

Thanks for your comments everyone, We really appreciate your support because with out our valued customers we could not make this possible.

Nice car, can;t wait to see it in person.

On the Motec, VVEL is NOT likley to be controlled out of the box. I have researched this subject extensively, it just depends on several other factors, on whether just hte cam advance potion of it can be controlled by Motec, as it may not be possible to divorce the controls of the advance and lift/duration without disabling VVEL. It's definitely going ot be a challenge, but everything is possible.

I love the samurai sword done with the rice paper on the doors, nice accent. I just hate that extendable crotch bolster.

The variable lift has a seperate DC motor for adjusting relative ball nut placement on the screw shaft, altering the control shaft position which determines control cam height. The timing adjustment is still based on solenoid-controlled oil pressure through the cam gear CVTC adjuster. The Motec M600 already offers the CVTC adjustment and drive-by-wire, so I am holding out hope that control of the DC Motor as a function of load/rpm in the tuning map will not be too big an obstacle. For us NA guys, this VVeL is very exciting to see. I am hesitant to guess at higher rpm use with the configuration's weight, but it is still exciting. I think GTM being a Motec tuner is a great step, and opens up more potential for what they will be able to extract from this system.
