Sam or George,

What size turbos are those?

Also, reference the question about the possibility of a powertrain swap in my last post, can you guys please update us on the feasibility of this once you pull the motor out of this G37? Thanks.

Yeah I'm wondering the same thing, what sized Turbos will be in the GTM TT kit?

Or are you guys gonna provide different sized turbos as packages/stages depending on what the customer wants?

There will be different size HKS Turbos available for the consumer to choose from. This particular kit for the G37 will be built with the HKS GT-RS turbos (400ps output each)

Sorry if this has been answered before, but are you offering a GTM/HKS tt kit for the DE engines also?

Can a 3.7 go in a 2003 350Z w/ full ECU swap and all...? I believe this is the 3rd or 4th time it's been asked

Yes the kit will be shortly available and we will be offering a kit that will cover all models from 2003-2008.

Here is a summary of the progress:

Stroker Engine

The block machining is done, we will be installing the sleeves on Monday. After that we will be test fitting the stroker crank, rods, and pistons. Keep in mind that we are test fitting two stroked 4.5L blocks, one for the G37 VVEL turbo charged 8.5:1 compression and one for our HR 07 test car that on is going to be a 4.5L N/A build with 12.5:1 compression.

MoTeC Installation:

We are in the process of configuring the crank/cam triggers, since they are completely different for the VQ35DE or Rev Up. Doing this via MoTeC is no problem since the MoTeC has endless capabilities we doing this (setting crank/cam triggers) in house ,on the other hand with F Con, the crank /cam trigger patterns will have to be sent to HKS of Japan to accomplish this, then HKS USA will be able to flash our unit to accept the new crank/cam triggers

Due to our time frame restraints we are going to be focusing on the MoTeC to get these cars up running. HKS F-Con setup will follow shortly after. I also forgot to mention that we are in the process of offering a plug and play patch harness for the VQ35HR and VQ37VHR as well.

We will be posting many more pictures in the next few days as things progress.

Based on what we have learned so far, this swap is very possible. The biggest physical difference between the HR and the DE is the taller deck height of the block. Definitely a new hood will be required

As a side note, the VHR engine cost from infinity is $8,200 for a complete long block. So this is definitely not going to be a cheap swap to do.

Sorry, pet peeve... Infiniti...

Glad to hear it sounds feasible though! I'll wait a few years when there's an abundance of blown VHR's from people pushing ridiculous numbers

Thanks Sam!!! I was hoping you would say that!

But I didn't think about the deck height & hood clearance issues for the G35. It is obvious enough in the '07 Z's with the new hood bulge and guys with Z's should be able to easily swap an '07 hood. So are us G35 coupe guys screwed? The only G35 hood I know of that offers additional clearance is the Stillen hood. Also, I just invested in a Top Secret carbon fiber hood, which should be here within a few weeks. I love the look of that hood and I'd hate to have to change it out for something else.

don't the fixed engine mounts drop the engine a bit - perhaps someone can fabricate some even shorter engine mounts...

Off topic

but, does anyone know how much a vq35hr longblock goes for? Reason I ask is im thinking of picking up an 07 350z selling the longblock and then swapping in the VQ37VHR.
