Not necessairly, Automatics just take the driver out of the equation, and turn it into a point and shoot setup more then anything else.

But there quite a few manual transmission supras/dsm's in the 8s, and even the 7s.. John Sheppard's DSM is piloted manually with a factory equipped transmission into the 7s at over 190 mph.

Have an EMS that features "flat shift" capability.

You can plainly see the dyno graph on the video posted in the OP. I know I've seen previous dyno sheets posted and the car has a 7.5k rpm redline.

Keep in mind the lines drawn on it are approximate...

that was witha huge exhaust leak on the whole left bank....

basically that run in the video was with a 1.75L 3cyl engine

That was also with the exhaust leak (and before VCT??). If it is spooling that 76 that slow then something is seriously wrong.

Just posting whats on the video.

But, I very much doubt it would be making almost 800whp with only the use of 3 cyl. But fair enough, as I dont think a T-76 would make much difference anyway depending on the sizing of the other turbo components. The garrett GT37R has a 76mm compressor wheel anyway I believe.

I seriously hope it makes power much sooner than that. I'd be more worried about the stock sleeves failing any given moment at those power levels.

The main issues are traction and whether the ACT 6-puck clutch will hold. We were still having problems on Friday with wheel spin with 3 guys on the trunk (myself included) and two others in the back seat. As IntenseFab stated, they intend to put the slicks on the car tomorrow and try again. If the clutch gives out and they decide to replace it, give them time (maybe a couple weeks) to order and receive a new carbon clutch that is up to the task.

I have an ACT 6 puck clutch in my car, and all mine will hold is about 630rwtq on the dyno. I think it's only rated at 580 torque (flywheel)

I'm sure the dyno sheets will come out once they have everything sorted out.

Manifold pressure is manifold pressure, if you measure 25 psi it's still going to make what 25 psi would make, but if you have a leak it's going to take longer to make the 25 psi.

Right, I think it was more laughing at the car running on "basically" 3 cyl. We all know that's not true. Yeah, I'm interested in seeing how quickly the present turbo setup's power peaks. I'd imagine it would be no later than 5500rpms...
