i would imagine that a 75 shot on top of the boost would yield a little more than 75whp.

Also, if you want a bigger number don't use the dyno dynamics dyno sheet, Sharif mentioned that he was taking it the dynojet. There is one less than ten minutes from Forged.

That should get you at least 550whp on a dynojet, probably more.

On a side note, that is a sexy Z, love to see them with as much go as show!

Yeah, Sharif is taking it to the DJ today. Could you imagine with the NOS as well? Maybe over 600 to the wheels...of course the block might let go.

Here are some old interior pics for those who have not seen the rest of the car... in car pc, nav switcher, xbox 360, 22inch LCD, etc. before the NOS and gauges was installed.

cylinder pressures (and power) will be through the roof! You'll pass 600 on a DJ with NOS.

Good luck!

Yeah, Sharif keeps saying no.

So what parts are available to build a HR motor?

Don't know of any parts for the internals, but can't wait to see the dynojet number.

The ability to get higher HP on the HR is due to the fact that the Torque is not as high as on the DE, right?

On my last car I never had problems with my motor with a Vortech supercharger and I put a lot of that on the lower torque numbers.

Looking at the dyno chart the torque drops on the top end. I wonder how much hp we could really get out of the stock block.

Hopefully you won't need any. But in any rate, if it comes to that, we have a complete line up of internals for the HR and VHR

-Pistons
-Rods
-Valve traine componnets
-Stroker kit 4.2 and 4.5
-Sleeves
-Crankshafts
-Camshafts

Nope, the main reason is mostly everything about the HR is built stronger. Stronger rods, bearings, etc

What do you consider to be driving time? I will probably put 300 miles on it real quick does that count? I have put about 1,000 miles on the car in the last year. Do I wait two to three years (2,000 to 3,000 miles) before using the NOS? Car goes on and off a trailer majority of the time.

I know there are hardly any precedents for a TT on a stock HR block and that I am pushing way over what the DE has done. I realize I should wait to see what other people do with boosting the HR; however it seems to me nobody else will be using TT with NOS for at least a year or more.

J
Yes...300 , 200 miles would be good considering its a show car. I am just saying ...why push Sharif to push the car anymore when you have not gotten use to what you have now? Knowing Sharif....I am sure he would not want to find the limits of the HR motor on your car...

Like Tim stated....50 or 70 more hp means nothing when you have to enter "NO Mans Land" to get it...

Be safe and have fun.

Don't forget the stock compression ratio on that motor is HIGH. I want to see what the limit is as much as the next guy, but blowing the motor so soon in such a beautiful car would be tragic. I'm sure its got plenty of life right where it is. Perfect for the streets!

You are correct that Sharif does not want to find the HR limits on my car. Anyway, it is not like I drive it much at all. My last Z had 420rwhp and I was extremely happy. Another 100 hp is plenty.

Sharif said the car did 540 on the DJ. He mentioned that it was very hot and they did not have a fan. Pretty damn good number on a stock block.

I am extremely happy with the GTM parts and the work Forged has done on the car.

J

Next up will be an upgraded flywheel/clutch. I doubt the stock ones will last under the current setup on the car. What are the options, Sam?

This engine designe continues to impress. Here is the DynoJet for today. Smooth and perfectly linear power curve.....with little bumpys and dippys...good stuff! And Power all the way to 7500rpm convincingly. And that super flat trq curve looks fun!

FYI: Sorry for the screen shot, but the printer was broken at the DynoJet, and with my dual monitors on my desktop, it captured both of my two screens..haha! Please ignore the ugly red Z....haha!
