You can do the same on a DD too. Stop getting so caught up on a number. 30psi through 67s means power. And this is proof.

CJM should start their own thread when its available with dynos comparing to other plenum options. I'd really like to know what the trade-off is in the midrange and down low compared to the MREV2+tallboy, for example. I wonder at what PSI this thing really starts to shine. No question it worked wonders in this application. The torque curve is sweet up high. I was wondering about the slight drop off - then looked at the rpms - 7k - wow - and just about peaking right there!!! Spacers to increase runner length may be just the ticket for even the more sedate high hp builds. I wouldn't want a new hood but an extra couple inches I think would do wonders for us common folk (that's what she said ).

NA yes, FI no, as far as I am aware.

Edit: From what I have seen no one has really been able to continue to make power up that high.

Well, I just spoke to Harry the owner of Precision turbo and they are sending me a new set of their billet wheel turbos which feature much improved aerodynamics over what we had. Harry thinks that we should decrease lag by at least 500 rpms if not more!! That will certainly increase the TQ numbers. These new turbos are only rated at 680 HP each as opposed to the 700 for what we are currently using...... They should still easily eclipse 1000 if not 1100!! I might have some 40 psi dyno results for you guys next week!!

Glad to see you are not having any coolant related problems. Any ideas why so many FI guys (> 400whp) are having these issues and you are not?

Is it poor bleeding technique or did you do any custom machining to the coolant passages? (like GTM), or just cheap coolant? I believe a few have still experienced this problem even when using Evans?

Any thoughts?

Im not really sure.... knock on wood!!

Good head bolts, good head gasket, flat surfaces, proper torquing etc. Same way that we build any 1000K HP motor!

I really feel that the most important key to keeping HGs from leaking is the tune and precise timing control. Detonation at high HP levels can easily lift a head. Too many guys push the envelope on pump gas in my opinion. Octane is your friend when it comes to keeping a motor together!! Learned that many years ago with the 7M and 2J Toyota motors!!

So on that note I guess that u would be a Proponent of using Methanol if 110 octane is not easily available?
