I'll just go ahead and point out that it's probably cheaper right now to trade in your Revup or DE 350z for an HR 350z than build the motor in your current car if you wanted to make 500+ whp.

That my friends is awesome.

Sam those are amazing numbers.... its good to see uprev do such great work with the full ecu tuning. Do these have a throttle body? id figure these are hard to tune like the g37 since it tunes off of fuel % for idle and what not kinda like a diesel motor.. I may be wrong been awhile since i did research

You're thinking about the VVEL VHR motor I think. Those technically have a throttle body but only to keep birds out when the motor is off. They don't use fuel to adjust idle, they still use the valve control as they do for all RPM control.

The kit he is showcasing is the for the HR motor vehicles.

your boosted car won't have PMS every month, ask you to go shopping, or ever deny you when you are wanting some. oh and no in laws.

=) I thought i was wrong... this info was sourced to me years ago so I couldnt quite pin point it and havnt been under or over a new HR motor... Thanks UpRev Great work too

This is what i was referencing to that would be a NIGHTMARE motor to tune. Maybe im not thinking outside the box on this

Along with the requisite overhead cams and four valve per cylinder, the 3.7-liter V-6 features variable valve timing and variable valve lift. An interesting technical fact is that with variable valve lift, there is no need for a traditional throttle body to modulate the air coming into the engine. The varying throw of intake valves now handle all that. (That’s along way from butterfly valves on carburetors, eh?)

Excellent job as always Rich and Jared! I love my tune even for a stock HR car. The car just drives way better now! Time to start modding after I pay off Christmas gifts.

hmm, that fuel pump is cutting it close i would think along with those injectors.
wouldn't it be better to use 740cc's and a twin turbo 300zx fuel pump? and cheaper i would think too.
the Z32 TT fuel pumps are good for 750whp.
