Wait, Toastz's gtr did not have an e-tune last year? How was it so freaking fast? There is no way that was "just" 400 whp...

It's barely over a 1/4 mile. I don't know what he's talking about - that's insane unless you got a chute to stop at the end!!!

You're in for a big surprise this year then. Toastz's gtr still does not have an e-tune now. It still sits at the same power level, and yes, it's only 400whp. Oh btw I will likely be bringing my GTR this year Should be fun

Stock GT-R's usually make around 390 on our dyno. A y pipe, which ToastZ does have usually adds around 15whp without tuning. I forgot the exact number he made here, but it was around 400, maybe a touch higher, but not significantly.

Back on topic, hopefully we can convince mark to come down for this event

This is the only car that I have access to that can get to 160mph within 1/4 mile... (And I don't actually drive it, just sponsor it.)

I'm going to try to get to ZDayZ! Would love to run with you guys.

I think my GTR went mid 140's with Sharif driving it and launched from the "grass" and taken waaaayyyy deep after the first braking cone - obviously I was not driving He probably hit the speed limiter if one exists (ie no etune) and to add he had the confidence to do so with braking to stop the car (even stock gtr brakes are good for a hard stop from 147 within 300 feet and then turn the car hard left, left, u-turn (remembering this was a fun ride now),... I know this now due to the approach into 10a at Road Atlanta, close to 160 at the airstrip is within grasp with the right driver and maybe Ryan's power level, its longer than a 1/4 mile).

Enough with the toastness, like Ryan said back to Mark's car and see everyone at ZdayZ can't wait and I hope the rumors are true about a track day being added on - I'm all in on that one

Edit: I just went back and looked, car made 414whp on the heatbreaker with just a y-pipe, not tune. It was "hot" summer in Atlanta.

Raj,

Don't ride in Ryan's car this year at the airstrip. I am warning you now -- if you want to keep your checkbook in balance for 2011, don't do it - you have been warned in advance

Curious, why are you going with the Cosworth over the CJM manifold. I know it costs more, but this is already a very custom build, so why not go with a custom manifold?

if Charles woulda made the CAD design for the stock TB, he woulda sold a few. That front face TB requires a **** of mods and fabrication.

When someone makes ITB's with a FI based airbox, that will turn some heads!

ohhh dont be a baby!! its not that bad! it fits with a 3" 90 degree elbow on the throttle and still clears the stock rad fan with thicker radiators!!!

either way, we have no time to be building any intake manifolds. we have a custom one in the works right now and we are struggling to find the time to get that thing done already. i hope no one orders a billet intake for at least 3-4 months!!!

Glad to see that in a down economy there are still some businesses booming! Congrats! We'll leave the billet intake for a possible future upgrade then...

I love these monster build threads. I get to live vicariously through them, even if only for a little while.

Interesting, details on the build? It looks somewhat similar to the SFR twin plenum Mani's..
