There is some kind of support on the right side of the engine of my '03 350Z. It's bright pink/red so I'm assuming it an aftermarket part, but it was on the car when I bought it.
The support seems to have broken or at the very least come apart. Could someone help me identify this so I can figure out how to fix or replace it? I don't see any brand names or model number or any other identifying information on it.
Its a cheap engine damper from ebay. It snapped due to poor quality, just remove it and you'll be fine.
nah son, that is the one stillen puts out. not to mention you can clearly see that it came unscrewed.... helluva first post
op, it looks like when the original person put it in, they didnt do it right. take it off, screw the part back in... then go to stillen to get the install instructions

It's just a piece of rubber inside a tube that separated some dope from his hard-earned money. Remove it, and toss it in the trash where it belongs. The only thing that dampener does is make the car shake a little more when you pop the clutch.
People who think Nissan engineers don't know what they're doing just amaze me.
