Default 350Z Stolen in Nashville

Well my 350Z was stolen between midnight and 7a this morning. I live in the Bellevue area in Nashville around Old Hickory Blvd and I-40. There were a couple of cars that were broken into this morning in my apartment complex and my car was taken. There weren't any signs of broken entry on any of the vehicles broken into(like broken glass). I'm guessing maybe it was put on a flat bed...who knows. Its an '06 black 350Z with dark tints and California tags. They seem like they must be professionals.

Don't know if there is any danger in this but...why not give out the license plate number. that way we can be on the lookout.

I'm not sure what my license plate number is. I have to wait until I could get my information from my family in California. I had no after market alarm system installed.

Just an update...I haven't heard anything from the police. Luckily I had comprehensive insurance so in 15 days I'm supposed to get a check. Do they pay the amount you purchased the vehicle for or do they give you an amount based off of the mileage on the car? I just purchased the Z around 11 months ago. It was fully paid.

Blue Book value meaning based on how much mileage was on the car when it was stolen?

Based on condition overall. mileage and physical appearance most probably. oh, and age.

The insurance company told me if the car is not found it will be classified as a total loss. So I doubt appearance comes to play here since there will be no car to look at. So the check I was talking about was for the full amount of the vehicle. I was just interested to know what the policy was for an insurance company. Since my car was less than a year old do I recieve a check for the value of a new one or do I recieve a check for the value of one that is 11 months old (w/unverifiable) mileage. I hope that made sense.

I still have hope though that my car was just left somewhere but it is in good condition.

dc567, I doubt there are that many black Z's in Nashville, TN with California tags. Now I do have my tag# though.

The Metro Police Department of Nashville called me today and told me my vehicle has been found. The car was involved in an accident on Briley Parkway last night or early this morning and it will be most likely classified as a total loss. The car was also stripped in the interior. The thieves were using a Car Dealer Tag (that dealers put on cars that are going to be test driven) and had thrown away my tag.

I only had a minute to look at the police report but after the occupants crashed the vehicle they fled on foot. I'm supposed to find out how much they will give me this Wednesday. The adjuster says they usually give around 5k less than Kelly Blue Book value...ouch.
