Anyone know of a good place to get my windows tinted in Miami-Dade?

I'd like to go somewhere w/ a good reputation.

yes. steve's window tints. steve does the best tint job i know of. he has done two cars for me, as well as a bunch of cars for friends of mine. his number is 305-944-5093. he's located behind the ford dealership that is on the intersection of 163rd and west dixie. you'll be very happy with his work.

hey - sorry it has taken me so long to reply, but i just got back from out of the country. i have 15% tint on the driver and passenger window, and 5% tint on the small windows and the rear window. i have pictures that i can email you if you give me your email address.

I ended up getting it tinted by another guy. He was recommended by my brother who has had 3 cars done by him. He did an excellent job. He came out to the house and did it on a Saturday afternoon and took about 90 minutes to do the side windows, the little tiny back windows and the hatch. He had 2 kinds of tint, one was $60 and the other was $85, and 2 levels of darkness 28% and 15% (I think). I got the 28% ones. My brother is a Miami Dade cop and he took out the measuring instrument and they came out at 27% and I really didn't want to deal w/ getting a ticket for stupid tints.

Just FYI, there are a three places I can recommend :

- There is a place on US1, south of Kendall Drive right next door to Shorty's. They do tints and alarms for many dealers and I have had several cars done there, no complaints ever.

- There is a place accross the Tamiami airport on 137th Ave, right behind the Tire Kingdom. This guys does the thinest edges I have ever seen, if you want the edge to disappear and not be noticeable. Its called Solar Tint or something like that. Great warranty also (according to the paper, never had to use it).

- The guys that did my Z (Tint and Alarm) also did a great job. They are in a small strip shopping center in the corner of 137th Ave SW 160 Street. They were super carefull, extremely honest with me (small anecdote about that, but I tell you some other time) and very cheap.

If I had to choose the very best one, I would say is the Solar place accross from the Tamiami airport. Extremely profesional and, what an edge!
