Default my 350Z crashed!!

A little aloof lately...i know, i know! This past weekend i had an Isuzu Trooper crash into me on the driver side of my z. He did damage to the entire side of my car, hood, bumper, fender, broken windows, and managed to roll back with my driver side door molded to his grill. I'm ok, went to the hospital for a concussion but am otherwise fine. I think the car should be totalled but the adjuster quoted the work about 50% of the cars value. He wanted me to have the work done at some little shop in boone...they didn't put it on the lift or dismantle it to determine structural damage. I need to sale the car soon because i may be moving over seas and was wondering if you guys knew of a good place that does body work. I want new parts if they don't total it. Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks in advance,
jenn

If ur at no fault...I'll take it to the dealership. Get all OEM parts installed. (Make sure they do that)
Don't let insurance company jack you up.

The Z will have an insurance record indicating "possible frame damage" since the claim is being filed. The value of the car will be less than what the market value is.

Based on the damage and the repair cost....the insurance will make the call rather or not if they should repair it or just claim it as a total loss.

Good luck

dont for get about the diminished value of the car, because now you will not get as much money selling it now after the accedent then if you were to sell it before.

Why take it to boone? I don't know of anything special in Boone that you can't find in Winston, Greensboro, or Hickory. There is one really good guy in Hickory, but I'm not gonna lie...he takes a looong time, good work though.

The accident was in Boone. I had it towed to Modern Nissan Automotive Shop in Winston, but i don't know of any body shops around here. Its teetering on the totaled line...if someone would deploy the air bag...that might help the situation. Right now they are planning on replacing the hood, roof, front fender, center body piece, door, windshield, some interior, bumper, 2 wheels, mirrors, locks, lights, etc.
