S&R Poker Run

S&R 3rd annual Poker Run. This is not a STREET RACE.
The route is about 140 miles long in the middle of no where but gut twisting roads.The route will start at the shop and end at the shop. The route will go as far Brooksville and Dade City. The route is paved lowrider friendly.
There are 5 stops on the route; each stop will have a dealer with a deck of cards.
Grab a card and proceed to the next stop until you reach the final destination.
Entry fee is 20 bucks
The prize is simple
1st place will receive 50%
2nd place will receive 25%
3rd place will receive 10%
The last 15% will go to the house for lunch.
The rules are Simple.
1. Standard Poker Card rules apply
2. Obey all State Laws
3. No prize for the fastest Driver.

Last year we had 46 cars attend and 1st place won $540

Last year I only had few Z's show up.

pretty cool idea. wish they had something like this over here in So Cal.

 

That is a great idea. We do a mountain run up here at the end of each month and this would add a substantial twist

hey guys im from g35driver, we have a roll call list started so far there is about 7 people attending, it would be awesome if you guys could get one started that way people can get a general idea of who and how many are going here is ours so far...

Get in touch with the San Diego Miata Club. They do several extremely good runs each year through the canyons and mountains all over SD county. And though it's primarily a Miata club, they do allow other cars on the runs. The last big one I went on had a Boxster, a Sky, and a couple others.

The two biggest driving events are The Puke and Twisted Weekend, both of which typically happen in late spring / early summer. It's a glorious experience, and if you don't die, you'll have some great stories to tell.

 

i will be there . it is a awesome event with a great lay out for the route. im in it to win it.

Nope there's like 15 on our local site going.

 

I'm down sounds like a great idea. I'll try and bring a couple more 37's and 350's to come from Tallahassee...
