So I am announcing the proposed date of the first mountain cruise of the season. I'm giving plenty of notice in hopes that most of the 49 people who chimed in at this thread

Not sure where we will go, but hoping that the roads will be good by then so we can make a nice day out of it. Hopefully this is far enough out that peoples schedules will be free. We can figure a meeting place and time as we get closer, just hold this date if it works for most others.

I know at one time I was going to sell mine due to some issues that are behind me now. For some reason the car didn't sell, and low and behold I still have it. In hindsight I'm glad that I had bad luck selling it cause I still get to drive it now.

Depends bud - when you hosting another guy's night out? hahah yea saying I miss my car is a grave understatement I'm picking that damn thing up in May for sure! if this project really goes till the first week of may I'll put in a request for a monday off or somethen and go pick up my car on one of those weekends hehehe

Count me in! We could do a run up to Saratoga Springs, Wyo. or maybe a nice drive to Gunnison. The majority of the roads will be okay by that time. Places like Independence Pass and Trail Ridge will probably still have snow so those are out. Just some thoughts for others to consider and maybe come up with some alternatives.

 

speaking of guys night out Brian - Bedlam (Mike) you know him over an HAI is in need of a guy night out party since he's gonna be turning 30. You should chime in on his thread on HAI

 

damn you guys have to make plans for a guys night out. Every night is a guys night out for me. But I'm an alcoholic, j/k. I'd be down to go on this trip with everyone. I've lived here for seven years and have never been anywhere else except the springs, greely, and most ski resorts an hour away. So this would be pretty fun, count me in.

 

I'm in. Let's hope the roads get cleaned up by that time. Tired of having my Z sandblasted on the "good" days...

 

If my schedule is clear, I'll come.

 

I just realized I'll be in Houston at the Champ Car/ALMS race during the 13th, so I won't be able to make the drive.

But fortunately I won't have the Z down there at sea level, so I won't have to cry about the power-sucking effect of altitude when I come back to Denver.

 

We can do this on a different weekend if it works better for everyone else?

I just picked that day out of my *** cause it seemed to work.

Don't change the date just for me...my schedule is so bad between now and mid-June that there aren't any other weekends that would work any better for me, unfortunately. I'll just have to catch the 'end of summer' drive, instead.

 

Well, for me, because its a new job, I don't know my schedule that far out yet so I can't suggest a date either. Whatever the date is, I'll definately go if I'm not working.

 

Then we will just leave the date as it is.
I think the key Gary is to just schedule more then 2 drives a summer and hopefully more will be able to make it to at least some of them.
Maybe someone else will put up an announcement for another on a date that works for them. That way we can have multiple drives and hopefuuly alot of people will be able to attend.
