Unfortunately no I wont be working on it at work. It's more of a side thing for me. I've built the whole car at home in my garage. Rob's (service manager) not really into doing the after market stuff here anymore. Which sucks cause thats what I love. As for the magazine, yeah I saw it. I actually took it home with me.

Too bad- this Friday I'll most likely be working on the SR20VE race engine up in Brighton. Good luck with your car and I'm sorry we won't see it out at the track in a few weeks.

Yeah Dave, thanks for opening your home/garage for a tech session. I would be happy to attend, but I will be out of town that weekend. Have fun,

David

Is it just me or are there a lot of Davids and Daves in Colorado with 350z's or G35's? Maybe we need our own section

Three days before the event and it looks like only Funkeymonkey1111 will be coming over to check and possibly swap tranny and diff fluids. Anybody else?

Remember, this is the chance to get your car checked over before the OMG button gets pushed at the track.

i've got the fluids--if the car is up on the jacks, i'd prefer to go ahead and change them out.

dave, are there crush washers on the drain plugs i need to replace?

Yes, there are washers on those plugs (I've reused mine without any problem, but you may not want that gamble). Part #110264-N200- get a few of them and I'll take a couple off your hands for the future.

9:30-10 am will be fine. Bring the popcharger along and we'll take a look at it.

I just thought of this: free tech services and free tires to go with FREE instruction at a HPDE/track day. It CAN'T get any better than that!

David,

I really appreciate all the help. I'm getting close on a resolution to the barriers keeping me up in the air.

See you in the morning

David

How late do you think you'll be busy with the Z tomorrow?? The wide band for the G35 didnt show up so we wont be tuning the car tomorrow. So I might be able to bring the coupe by and say hi. Matt

Matt- I expect we'll be done around 11:30 am or so. Bring that G on by if you're in the neighborhood.

Glad we got the work done on Funkeymonkey1111's ZR yesterday! Weather was much better than the snow and cold temps which came in Sunday. Hopefully, he'll give some feedback on how effective the Redline gearbox and diff fluid change is. We also swapped the front pads on his car (really needed it) and I gave him a short tutorial on how to change his brake lines out and bleed brakes.

Sorry we missed denverinfiniti, but no one else stopped by...

it was indeed a great day to work on cars (or at least help and try not to get in the way). Thanks again for all the help, Dave, I really appreciate it.

Hopefully I'll have those brake lines finished by mid week!
