PMI HPDE video
Just got back from the HPDE at PMI today. For those of you who were there, you know how wonderful the day was. David and his team put on a great set of exercises in the morning, followed by "follow the leader" to learn the line, followed by progressively faster sessions, finished with 2 hours of open track. Wow, a really full and fulfilling day!

Here are 2 laps from inside my car. Sorry, forgot to roll the window up so there's a lot of wind noise at the end of the straight. For those interested, I saw a little over 110 before hitting the brakes. (I'm not sure why the image is so wide, try right-clicking and choose zoom\full screen to fix that.)
For those of you who didn't come, you missed a really special day. Hard to believe it was November in Colorado! Hope you can make the next one...
BTW, this is my first in-car video. It looked a lot faster from behind the wheel

Thanks Daniel for the video. Also thanks for the heal-toe tips. I've been trying it and downshifting/upshifting at varies speed. So far the car doesn't jerk but the footwork isn't as smooth as I would like.

Great video Daniel! Watching it made me think of following several cars during the day and observing their line. Turning in just a little early or carrying just a smidge too much speed into a turn will cause you to miss the apex of a turn. Luckily, Z cars (of all vintage) handle so well that they can recover easily. You were certainly driving well and your video shows some of the ebb and flow of PMI. But it's always interesting to note how things like elevation changes or the perception of acceleration can never be accurately portrayed through a television or video screen! I guess you had to be there to appreciate it all...and I'm glad you were!

Great video! PMI looks much more entertaining than my local track (Sandia Motorsports - Albuquerque, NM). I wish I could have joined you guys. I'll definitely be at the next one.

And for sure, video seems to make it seem alot slower, atleast we can hear the engine!
