I've also seen posts on this forum regarding this issue. and was going to mention this to them when I place my next order.

Hmmm... I've never experienced problems with fitment of the GT-Sport pads on my Brembos. I've gone through three sets over the years as well. Guess it's a mystery...

Think I'm gonna use the EBC Redstuff that Will suggested. I honestly don't feel comfortable spending $150+ for front pads alone that might be used once or twice. I can order F&R EBC pads for $150.

EDIT:

David,
Don't know if you want to post this in the orignal post but I started a thread for a Tech Day at my home: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....34#post3295834 Thanks!!!

Smart move - nothing's more draining than being on the road for 4 hours in the morning before even getting to the track.

I'll be driving down from Denver the night before...I've learned the hard way what it's like to get up at 5am to make it to the track on time. No fun.

So what is required for safety equipment? Some of the clubs vary wildly on this point and I just wanted to check.

Tech inspection (self, club, mechanic)
Seat belts (OEM, harness)
Helmet (any, SA2000)
Clothing (doesn't matter, cotton long sleeve shirt / pants, Nomex?)
Eye protection (none, glasses, face shield)
Roll bar (none, harness bar, 4pt roll bar, full roll cage)
Corner workers (none, participants, dedicated)
Sorry- I missed this list of questions on safety equipment:

-Each participant is responsible for doing their own tech inspection and making sure their car is in excellent shape.
-OEM seatbelts are obviously the minimum standard.
-Helmets...sigh...this has always been an issue. I'd like to see SA2000 as a minimum, but will accept an automotive or motorcycle helmet for this course.
-Comfortable clothing (jackets and long pants will be needed), including flat bottom shoes.
-Eye protection is optional, as is the roll bar or cage.
-We have not had corner workers, tow trucks or ambulances for any of these events. After four years and multiple HPDEs, we've never needed them either!

Meant to ask, is your wife coming down as well? Mine is, and she wants to know if there will be anyone to talk with...

She was planning to take the day off but doesn't think she'll be able to. I really wanted her to come as well.

My girlfriend will be there again this time. She will be filming again as well as pictures. If anyone has car cam and wants some chase shots of their ride ill be glad to strap it on. This will be of course once the training sessions are done but just to let you know that option is there. Im getting over all track video again. Cheers guys, cant wait!

I'll be publishing the syllabus just as soon as I'm satisfied with the overall draft. The short answer is plan to be at track by 8:00 am Friday morning.

You've got FOUR weeks to get all the sleep you need! I can assure you that you'll sleep very well on Friday night AFTER you get home.
