I've PM'd a few people about non-Nissan interest from other willing participants. At this point, I'd like to give every Nissan/Infiniti/Datsun driver out there first shot at this! There are some members of other Nissan boards that have expressed interest in this, but no confirmed entries.
Track time, Instruction, Dinner, Subscription....
Dave: Thanks for setting this up. Is there a cut off date when you’ll stop taking applicants? In need to figure out my work schedule and do a quick inventory of Tires, rotors, pads, etc. Hopefully this week I’ll know if I’ll be attending.

David,
Would it be easier to e-mail the syllabus to us? That way we could print it out also. I'll pm you my e-mail address if needed.

Resolute, Amarao, Abishop, Mudd, Bottom, Funkeymonkey1111, Bamyi, Kaiser; What are you waiting for!

If anyone else is planning on staying at the Wingate Inn, I'd suggest making a reservation soon. I just got off the phone with them and they are down to just a handful of king smoking rooms.
Thanks for thinking of the non Nissan people. My buddy with the KO4 audi would love to go, if there is space. He would be fine with staying in the back and out of the way of the nissans since this is a nissan event. If you need extra people ill tell him and he will send payment. Thanks for putting this together, cant wait till its track time!

High Performance Driving Course (HPDC)
Purpose: Nissan Sport Magazine is committed to raising the standard of driving excellence and knowledge throughout North America. This course is designed to introduce practical concepts of vehicle dynamics to build a greater understanding on how they impact car/driver performance on both the street and track. Participants will explore a greater range of their vehicles’ performance envelope and both learn and rehearse various car control skills. Key goals include reducing reaction time to avoid accidents in the real world, as well as development of both judgment and physical skills necessary to safely operate a vehicle on the racetrack.
Course content: The following topics are representative of those covered in the course. Actual course content may be customized to include individual customer requirements as well as specific circuit information.
*Introduction and classroom session:
*Presentation of specific circuit safety information.
*Introduction of vehicle dynamic concepts.
*Discussion of optimal driver seat and hand positioning.
*On track exercises:
*Threshold braking exercises and use of peripheral vision for timing.
*Accident avoidance exercises blending braking and steering.
*Cone chicane and car control exercise.
*Racetrack and HPDC sessions:
*Walk and drive with point-to-point introduction of the circuit.
*Follow-the-leader track exercises with gradually increasing speeds.
*Side-by-side track tour exercise with partner.
*HPDC driving sessions with limited passing rules in effect.
*Full HPDC sessions may be broken into differing experience levels.
*Safety check-offs with instructor(s).
Program note: Sessions will be conducted with feedback provided to every participant immediately following each exercise. Participants may request instructors ride with them, but this may not always be practical. Safety will be the overriding priority for each session. Any participant who fails to follow specific safety rules or direction from the instructor(s) will be asked to leave the course and will not be entitled to PMP certification.
Disclaimer: Motorsports is an endeavor that inherently involves risk to both driver and vehicle. While the organizer/instructors attempt to provide a safe and fun experience for each participant, this in no way guarantees against any type of personal injury or property damage incurred during the day. Participation in any portion of this track day is voluntary and any risk incurred is the individual responsibility of each driver/ passenger. Nissan Sport Inc. organizer/instructors assume NO liability for any accident, which might occur during this event. In agreeing to participate in this event, each person agrees to these conditions.
