I went to the movies with my girl friend and when we came out I saw that some punk had smashed out the passenger side window. They had some ***** because it was in broad daylight right in front of a busy movie theater. They stole my iPod from the car and the broken glass scratched the paint on the door. So that will need to be repainted and the window will need to be tinted too. The iPod was one of the new black ones and I had it mounted in the ash tray so that it was flush with the center console. Plus the windows have a very dark tint. So I'm really surprised that they even saw it. This just pisses me off. Now I need to pay my insurance deductible and get a rental car until this is all resolved. So shall we take any bets to see what I get? I'm thinking PT Cruiser or Chevy HHR.
Sorry for the rant. I just need to blow off some steam.

I thought I was safe because I had a really hard time seeing it through the tinted windows and I knew where to look for it. Just another lesson learned the hard way.

It happened at Movies West. The manager said that break-ins come in spurts and it has been about two months since the last one but it sounds like it happens frequently.
I'm sure that Ultra Yellow didn't help anything. The car stands out big time.

Damn. Another reason I was glad to leave the West side and move to CO. Sucks man, I know they on't have security cameras there because of liability. My friends and I saw a hit and run in the parking lot and when the cop arrived we gave him all the info, but no cameras recorded it. The manager said if they have cameras covering the lot, then they have some responsibility to protect the property on the lot. So by not putting cameras outside, they protect themselves from liability. Crazy world we live in.
