Many of you know Gary Miller, who started out as a student and graduated to being a instructor at our 350Z track days. I just heard that Gary had to have his appendix removed and is now recovering from the surgery!
It's been my pleasure to have worked with Gary and I know he's been invaluable in helping others. His driving has progressed leaps and bounds over the past two years and his willingness to share his enthusiasm and experience are always appreciated. Please join me in wishing him a hearty get-well and speedy recovery!

Gary,
Hope you're feeling better and can get back out for the track day in Nov.
Maybe you can upgrade that appendix to a race version, you know, the drilled and slotted type.
Get well soon!!!

Wow, thanks for all the thoughts, guys. It really helps! (Especially the weight-reduction comment...I love it!)
I would have never guessed that something so insignificant as an appendix (which apparently is just a small piece of abdominal tissue that nobody really understands what it does) could cause so much trouble! What started out as some minor discomfort on a Monday morning ended a few days later with me hearing the ER doctor saying 'You're going to be having emergency surgery later this afternoon.' That definitely gets your attention!
And all of this after I had gone through the typical male response to medical issues of thinking that it was nothing for a few days before I would finally submit to a trip to the ER. So if anyone here ever experiences a sharper-than-usual stomach pain, learn from my mistake and get your a$$ to the doctor and possibly save yourself some of this pain! The good news for me was that they caught it before it burst, but the bad news was that it was in an unusual location, and as such they couldn't just scope it out of there like normal...they had to open me up completely, which has resulted in a prolonged recovery process.
And now after a week of mostly bed-ridden recovery, I'm finally able to get up and move around on a somewhat-regular basis (although I'm sure it's fairly comical to watch me try to hobble/walk around!) I never thought that I would say that it will be a relief to head back to work, but it will be a good change of pace to leave the house for the first time in a week...cabin fever can definitely take it's toll.
Thanks again for all of the kind words. I'll have to miss the November track day, but I'm looking forward to getting out to another Colorado 350Z event soon!
