Polka dot Vette
Ok, so who else has been watching this thing transform? For those of you who dont know, there is a chevy dealership right by the 405fwy in the city of Carson. My commute takes my right by this dealership every day. What they decided to do a couple months ago was to put a brand new vette on a platform which is suspended from a crane. At first, the vette was a normal vette color (cant recall which color though). Then, a few weeks into it, they decided to paint the car a super loud neon pink. A few weeks after that, the car all of a sudden comes up with black spots all over the loud pink paintjob. This is how its been for a while now. Is anyone else curious as to whats going to be next?? How about some ideas, then we can forward this thread to the dealer.
I pass by there every day on the way to work also. That's Cormier Chevrolet. I think the original color was red. I've been wondering why they are doing that. My 2 daughters saw that the other day and they both said "Ewww, gross."
I guess its a "buy a car or we ruin this vette" type of sales campaign. They just make the car uglier as the weeks go by and as property values drop, the local residents go in to buy cars in order to make it stop.
I went there a few weeks ago to ask about the color at that time..it was a dark silver color and the salesman told me that it was some kind of temporary spray on color they put over a normal silver vette. Of course car salesmen are 99.9% full of s**t so I'm guessing he didn't know what he was talking about.
My guess is that they are using colored film/decal like some of the NASCAR teams use when they want to temporarily change color schemes and/or grahics.
It is my belief that no vettes were harmed in the name of advertisement !!!

They have had a car suspended for some time now, haven't they? I remember a car on the 405 up on a crane back last October when I was going to take the test for Jeopardy. I think at the time it was a truck.

Has anyone seen the Pink Vette being driven by Angelyne (that old-*** blonde model / ho / pornstar / I'm not really sure what she does)?
She's probably about 55 or so, about 5'1" or so, blonde obviously, busty, drives a rediculously pink Vette, license plate is "ANGLYNE", sucks at driving...
She's the one who used to be on all those Hollywood billboards and stuff.
I saw her driving around the West LA / Hollywood area on Sunday. I've seen her before too, but this was my first citing in a few years.
