Default What sort of price should I be getting for a Z?

Hey folks, 2nd. post here Since I'm thinking of picking up a Z, I was wondering what sort of prices you guys are getting OTD. The model I'm looking for is: Touring Coupe, 6-spd, navi+airbag package. The msrp on the website states $37K....Are dealerships still demanding msrp? Are there deals outhere? If possible I'd like to know which dealership you guys got your from and for how much (Out the door price) and for which trim level. Thanks guys!!

33.5 + tax & license for mine (can't remember OTD). No Nav or side bags. You should be able to pick one up for 1k over invoice.

Thanks! I'm guessing since your is an '03 that it was the first year? Must have been in demand. I'm surprised you got it for that price. This is the quote I got from an internet dealer:

Hi xxx,
teh Z I have for you is a Silverstone with charcoal int. Touring model with 6sp tranny, it has all the following options.
-aerodynamics pkg
-aluminum kickplates
-cargo conv pkg
-floor mats
-navigation system
-side airbags
-splashguards
-trunk mats
The MSRP on this one is $37,600
I can give you this one for only $35,004 plus fees.
I searched around and this is the only one I could find, I dont know the mileage because its sitting in the dock somewhere
(longbeach or san pedro)
It is a new car so Im guessing maybe it has 10 miles on it.

is there a number where I could contact you, I understand that you might prefer to comm via email but we've found that one simple phone call is much better at relaying info.

Thanx,

Seems a little pricey to me, no? Or would it be considered a good deal?

Yea, mine was extremely hard to find. especially in Brickyard. Most of the first year Z's had a 5,000 to 10,000 premium added onto them for those people who were willing to pay it. MSRP on mine was 35,900.00 I think?

I'd offer him 34.5 including fees + Tax & License and see what he says. If he won't budge start askng for goodies like car cover, bra, sunshade, etc. Little things that kind of add up.

Well, I tried cardirect.com, and got: $33K + TTL. I emailed this info. back to the dealer and his response was:

xxx,
I just got your email and of course I can beat that price...if only the car was available.
what I do is I go on our corporate website and run searches for a specific vehicle. In this case I ran a search for a 350Z touring 6sp in black with navigation, no aero dynamics pks and theres (no results found.)

this search covers L.A./Orange/San Bernandino/Riverside COUNTIES
I did find a white touring automatic with
-alum kick plates
-cargo cover pkg
-floor mats
-navigation system
-side air bags
-splash guards
-trunk mats
I can do $33,288 plus fees on this one.

let me know what you think.

Thanx,

Allright, I def. don't want an Auto, but it seems like theyre willing to budge. I wonder if $34K OTD will be possible with a touring+navi/airbags....

If you don't care too much about conviences, you can get an 05 Enthusiast around low 30k OTD. For the touring models, I'm not soo sure........since I didn't buy that particular model.

The Nav can not be added to a non Nav car. The Wire looms are different.

In early 03 - I bought the car with the Idea I could add the Nav - Salesman Lied, Actually he didn't know. The Nav in the Z - Is good but not as smart as the Acura RL.

Cheers Amy -

My worry is that the OEM Nav looks so cool!! hehehehe..I'm afraid that aftermarket navs will not look as good....sorry, but I majored in trans design at Art Center, so looks is very important to me.
