OC Mega Meet: Final Drive Info
Okay folks here it is... the final info
* Date: Sunday Feb. 16th, 2003!!!
* Time: 10:00am meet... 10:30 departure
* Location: Ball Park Pizza
31654 Rancho Viejo Rd # H, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
(it is right off the 5 freeway)
From here we will drive through Ortega Hwy and end up at a small shopping center. It will be right across the street from Lake Elsinore West Marina & Resort.
* Destination: 32700 Riverside Dr, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530
We can break here for more pictures and snacks... then do Ortega Hwy again... opposite direction.
Once out of Ortega we will back by our starting point, San Juan Capistrano. We can each lunch around here. There are a bunch of restaurants around the area. And then... head to HPZ's place.

Here are the directions to HPZ's place after we are done with the drive:
1. Merge onto I-5 S via the ramp - toward SAN DIEGO.
2. Take the CAMINO DE ESTRELLA exit.
3. Turn RIGHT onto CAMINO DE ESTRELLA.
4. Turn RIGHT onto CAMINO CAPISTRANO.
5. Turn LEFT onto CAMINO CAPISTRANO.
6. Turn LEFT onto DOHENY PL.

I'm gonna try my best to make it... put me down as a "maybe"... I just don't want to commit and then end up flaking. I'll let you know for sure once my plans for the weekend become clearer.

* It looks like it is going to rain tommorow.
* If it DOES rain... the DRIVE will be canceled.
It just isn't fun or safe to do a canyon run in or after the rain (wet slippery roads, mud, etc). This really is disappointing because it was sunny as heck yesterday.
* Please check this thread tommorow morning before you guys leave for the FINAL CALL... on whether the run will go or not...

it's okay though snoopy, we had a good time last weekend helping you with the planning.

really hope it doesn't rain, not after all the time and money I put into tuning the Z this week! >_< new thermostat; adjusted air/fuel ratio; altered idle to 700 rpms, just to keep idle fuel consumption down, and prepped a special camera mount just for the event! >_< >_< please please please don't rain
(i really don't want to have to wash the freaking car again this week, rain totally undoes all my cleaning efforts. -_-
