front plate ticket
I just got my Z last week and the dealer (Palmdale, CA) didn't even put the plate bracket on. They didn't have me sign anything either. I later found the mount including all the hardware in the cubby behind the passenger seat.

i always wondered the same. until someone mentioned this. (although the chances of this happening are slim, there's still a chance)
let's say your car was stolen, or someone was being kidnapped. cross lights only take pictures of the front plate. imagine the car had no front plate. how would any one ID it?
that'll lead to, why not take pictures of the back plate? i have no idea.
cliffs note: front plates = safety precaution (of some sorts)
Cross lights take front and back pictures, look at an intersection with it next time, the cameras are aimed at the middle of the intersection so when the light changes, both cameras in the direction of travel go off, and voila! both front and back pictures.

I see your car got out of the shop! You should have mentioned the car was is the shop and was in the process of putting it on! ....not that they would fall for it, but worth a shot!
