Default High Octane Gas In So Cal

Assuming that the Z has a knock sensor, I would like to put some high octane fuel in the ol’ tank...93 - 94 would be nice. Anyone know if any stations sell this grade?

If not, anyone ever use the octane boosters? Are they harmful?

Sorry about the compound question(s), just had a lot to ask.

i dont know where to get any in san diego, but I know one station in orange county that sells 100 octane for about $5 a gallon. its a 76 station in fulleton on commonwealth and gilbert. mix 1/4 tank with that and 3/4's with 91 octane and that should be give you a 94 octane rating overall.

go to 76.com and click on the station locator. Select "racing fuel" as a criteria.

Theres one near here at Pasadena that sells 99 Oct for almost $5 per gal...they might charge more now due to the war.

If you're close to Newport Beach, there's a 76 on san miguel drive, in the shopping center where the Ralph's is. I've gotten 100 oct there a few times for my bike. $5 a gallon isn't cheap though.

As for the octane booster, a pilot told me that they don't really work. If you want real octane booster, you have to get it at an airport? It was something like that. I don't quite remember.
