Hmm.... I have switched more than my fair share of Y-pipes and the only thing I can advise is try wedging a flat screwdriver between the bolt and metal when you try to unscrew it. Hope that makes sense.

If it's still driveable, feel free to stop by and I'll help.

You can try to soak it with wd-40 and let it sit overnight then try again in the morning. A 6 point socket would probably be your best bet if it isn't totally rounded off.

I rounded off one of the bolts on my lower control arm changing my springs and thats how I got loose...

when you saw "stripping the bolt" do you mean the welded bolt? or the nut? either way you're probably looking at grinding the head square again. a little grind and a little lube and you should be good to go.

I gots the same problem. The 2 bolts on the exit side of the y-pipe. Such a b*$&h to get off. I rounded one of them too, gave up last night. We'll try again to today. Good luck with yours.

I always squirt some wd-40 or liquid wrench before unbolting these type of bolts. It doesnt take much to have a bolt get stuck when its subjected to so much heat. Good luck
