Default Moving to San Diego

Hi guys. I am moving to San Diego from Seattle. Finally I have arrived.

Do you guys have any recommendation about great places to eat and shopping center?

And of course, which Nissan dealer nearby La Mesa that you guys recommend?

Update: Photo of my Z

Thanks for the help guys.

Go to the "top gun" bar on the water front.
Here's a quick top 10 of everything. Njoy.

You're going to San Diego State University? Biggest party school in San Diego??

Just ask a cute girl (or guy) where you should go. They know exactly what, where and when. It's the fastest way to make some friends quick so they can show you around.

If you're a little shy, pick up a university reader, or visit the school forums. Theres alot of deals, coupons, and specials for state students.

Don't let us old foggies on this board tell you what's up.

Yeap. Ow I don't know it's the biggest party school anyway. Haha.

I am a guy. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll give it a try.

tons of good places to eat. let me know when you get here and we can have a meet and everyone go out to eat.

Mossy Nissan in El Cajon is great. Just ask for Jesse the service manager and tell him John sent you if you need anything done.

If you want to party and have little money go to PB, if you want to party and have some money go to the Gaslamp. If you want to shop for high end stuff it gotta be Fashion Valley. Hit up qualcomm for the autocross and if your a drag racer hit up racelegal, a lot of teenagers though. Don't go to Pann Auto to get stuff done on your car for aftermarket cuz they will drive the Sh** out of your car while they have it. Oh Yeah, welcome to SAN DIEGO!!!!

+1 for moving from Seattle, I also moved from Seattle when I was younger. What part are you from? Welcome to San Diego. I wouldn't recommend Group 5 either, if you want real parts you have to go to LA to places like Super Autobacs and Performance Nissan. There are also little hidden places in LA alot of people don't know about to get racing seats and what have you. Enjoy your stay!

i just moved to san diego about a year ago and only wish i had done it sooner! you'll love it. pacific beach for the beach/bar scene, and gaslamp (downtown) for the nightlife/bar/club scene. only downside to moving here is i'll probably need a new liver soon with all the partying i've been doing. anyone got one they don't need?

+1 on the suggested places up in LA.

I mean we DO have install/ performance parts shops down here, but they're so few and far in between that their prices are up there.

OC/La (1.5-2.5 hours away) have more competitive shops that have more reasonable prices. If you need any parts, brake pads etc.. order from mynismo.com. (performance nissan). They're not too far north of us so things get here pretty quick.

Most Mossy Nissans are quite good if you need any type of service. They've all been friendly and helpful to me. I would stay away from Pacific Nissan in PB since they have young punks in tech that will try to blast your stereo or take the car fast over speed bumps.

try Kearny Mesa Mossy, I had my recall done in a couple of hours and got my car back the same day ! don't go to poway nissan, they over charge big time. when I had to get another key made, they wanted almost 150 for the key to be cut and to program. I went to Kearny Mesa Mossy and got it for 100 out the door. Over charging tsk tsk

Watch out for the car thieves. They love to drive them over the border and then your car's gone forever.
