Thanks, I figured he was.
I was cruising in my 335i Coupe and it was obvious he wanted to play a bit.
So we did since the freeway was wide open.

He was behind me, but when traffic cleared he nailed it and went around me.
So I bit and nailed it too but by that time he was already 6-7 car lengths in front.
Bet he was surprised to see me slowly creep up closer to him.
As I was surprised that I didn't reel him in and pass...as I can easily do with n/a 350Z's so I figured he was boosted.
At that point I was stoked he didn't walk away from me, but rather I slowly gained ground on him.
My car is an auto and just has the PROcede v1.47

I wanted to chat, but he exited quickly and I couldn't move over fast enough to follow him.
I wanted to see what mods he had.
It would also be fun to do a side by side run with him.
As I was at a disadvantage because I started a second or so after him so he was going full steam ahead well before I was, yet I still was able to reel him in a bit.

Vishnu also just released v2.0 of the PROcede and being one of the first people with a PROcede, I'll be one of the first to get v2.0 as well.
It adds another 30+ hp on top of it.

**No "racing is stupid" comments needed from anyone. As talking on the cell phone, driving while sleepy, or driving after "having only one or two beers" is worse (injures and kills FAR more people), and you all do 1 or more of those all the time. Plus I so very rarely race and will only do it if the road is open. And I usually do go to the tracks for racing.**

This is the reason I don't try to mess with 335's..you never know if one has those damn PROcedes LOL
I read in the 'Other Vehicles' section about their new ECU+exhaust combo producing 340whp & 400tq.
Damn my NA Z's too slooooooooowwwwwwwwww...

That's the current v1.47 output.
Actually, most guys with just the v1.47 and all else stock are getting
325-330 rwhp
375-385 rwtq

(8-10 less of each for the autos)
That's on 91 Octane too. Add 8-10 rwhp for 93 Octane.

The new v2.0 PROcede that gets sent out to us early PROcede owners first this Monday will make 360-370 rwhp and 390 rwtq.
Shiv at Vishnu dialed down the torque of the v2.0 as with v1.47 the torque is already more than enough. So he kept that level about the same (just a small increase, but is offering user adjustable torque levels).
He pretty much just brought up the HP levels
There is now also an overboost feature and much much more.

The stock turbos, though small handle it just fine.
He said thay are good to up to about 16-17 psi safely but he's only pushing 13.5-14.0 max at peak.
The engine and drivetrains have been handling it VERY well.
Not a single engine or drivetrain failure (both auto or manual) reported on ANY PROceded 335i yet.
Shiv has about 27,000 miles on his own 335i car...and those are ALL hard test miles!!

Current v1.47 PROcede 335i times are:
12.7-12.9 @ 108-110 mph on street tires.

We are expecting
12.4-12.6 @ 111-112 mph with the v2.0 on street tires no other mods.
Basically equal too if not a tick or so better than the new E92 V8 M3.
The new M3 will probably have a bit more top end pull and especially in triple digits speeds, but not have the low and mid range torque.

Anyway, was just wondering what the red 350Z I ran into had on his car, I figured he was force inducted, to go with his intake, exhaust and so forth.

Apparently the owner of that boosted and modified red 350Z doesn't frequent this board.
That surprises me that a 350Z owner and enthusiast he clearly is, would not come on here.
Is there another larger, more visited 350Z forum?

Mess with 335's w/vishnu chips when the weather is above 100 degrees. That motor gets heat soak really easy.

It was 104 degrees when we ran. I'd say his boosted 350Z was running just as hot, maybe hotter if he didn't have a front mounted IC.
All turbo cars get heat soaked when repeatedly run hard. Though it's not as much of a problem with the newer (post March 2007) built 335i's when all sport package cars have the 2nd oil cooler.

I know the guy, his name is Tino. He got a Vortech supercharged 400whp. By the way, I just opened the new shop in Santa Clarita next to Home Depot.
Check out www.200mphmotorsports.com
I really need Z support on that grand opening day. Will Start a new thread soon.

I've met you or someone from your company.
Do you have a friend (think it's Joe) at Kragen??
That might be it.
But I was given a business card or two from someone, just can't remember exactly.
You must be right next to Yimi Motorsports over there.

400 whp on that 350z.
What else does he have other than the vortech s/c
I saw the exhaust, and guessing intake.
But I'd think he'd of pulled away quite hard from me with 400 whp.
That wasn't the case at all, but I crept in a bit.
I'm probably only putting 320 rwhp down.
That will jump to 350-360 in the next week or two once I get the v2.0 of the PROcede.

The typical vortech setup that produces 400whp will put down roughly ~330-340rwtq. There are many different variables, but you would most likely have a distinct torque advantage.

In comparison, a single or twin turbo Z that puts down 400whp, will also produce about 400wtq. That vortech setup would have to make roughly ~430-440whp to make it an even race.

I can't believe the owner of this red 350Z is not on these boards.
He was clearly an enthusiast and spent quite a bit on his car in just the mods I could see.
I'd love for this Tino guy to chime in here.
Someone on here has got to know him or he's got to be on these boards but for some reason isn't seeing this thread or not wanting to post about it.
