food was decent... i think its more for the environment and atmosphere rather then the food... i ordered the NY steak (not great, just decent) and she ordered the Line Caught Salmon (ok but a little dry)... we had a party of 16 people there and about 3/4th of the party actually liked their order, but above aqll we all had a great time... our little asian waiter had a little attitude but by the end of the night he turned out to be cool i guess... with all that said, i WOULD recommend this place.

Glad to see that you liked the ambiance!

I think that taste in fine dining is so subjective it's hard to claim that one place has better food than another, though.

If you're coming in from Santa Monica they do packages to stay the night and eat dinner. Pretty reasonable and Laguna downtown for a day and night is fun.

Here's the menu:

woh they have one in costa mesa? you gotta be kidding me, ive been going to the one in b.hills for years.

i noticed most of the people here mentioned places that are really expensive and known to be nice places.

my favorite is a place called giorgios. its on balboa island and its a great intimate experience. the food is really good, and it has more of a home feel to it.

The Wicked Garden in Dana Point is awesome. Unbelievable food and quite the atmosphere.
