Default By any chance... Did anyone see this hit and run?

I was driving to Ralphs near 3rd/Sycamore around 9:48pm on June 13th, 2008 when this dude rams the **** out of my car from behind while trying to get into my left lane. He eventually somehow forced his way into my left lane, side swipes me, then proceeds onto making a right turn (he clearly did not have enough space to make a right)! He hits the front of my car and proceeds to continue driving in front of me.

After he hits the front of my car, he starts to speed up.....

My instant reaction was to catch up to this dude because he started speeding. He then makes a right at Sycamore, parks his car, steps out, and proceeds on running on foot. At this point, i'm shitting bricks because A.) I almost died and B.) I do not know if this guy is dangerous..

When the coast was clear, I stepped out of the car I was driving and approached his car. I believe the reason why he started to run on foot was because he was simply ****ed. During the crash, he had rammed into my car so hard that his front right wheel/rim/axle literally smashed into 10 different pieces. The car simply could not drive in this condition.

Also, when I approached the car, there was a strong smell of alcohol. (this could be another reason why he ran).

I am a pretty chill guy and was willing to settle this through the insurance company.... But had no choice but to call the 5-0 because the dude ran.

This is where you could help.

I was in a black Acura 3.2 tl Plus while the person who crashed into me was in a white Nissan Altima. Since the person ran with his back towards me, I could not see his face... Because of this, I can not even identify the person even if the cops did catch him. If anyone saw this crash at all please contact me (on the forums or give me a call) or the Lapd @ 1-877-275-5273.

  • The insurance on the car has 2 people under it.
  • The car might've been stolen.

The worst part is we found the dudes wallet in the car, he had no drivers licence. The officer proceeds on finding out information on the guy and finally gets his cell phone number and gives him a call... but i guess the dude denied everything when the officer called him. The conversation I heard went a little something like this:

(Let's pretend the runners name is Ed)

Officer: So Ed, why don't you come down here and tell me what happened.
Ed: (I do not know what Ed said).
Officer: Don't make me come down to your house and knock on your door. I have all your information.
Ed: (I do not know what Ed said).
Officer: Well either turn yourself in or i'm going over to your house.
*Ed hangs up*.

Damn, going by that conversation it probably was "ed" that did that to your car and just scared to come out due to being drunk/nervous. Cop probably knows that too.. Good luck, i'd be pist and dumbfounded if that happened to me.
