Default Just turned in my 2-weeks notice

I'm going to be out of work in two weeks.

Anyone know of any openings for a tech or service advisor position around Irvine?

I have a back-up job offer but it's unrelated to my skills.

late...

Sorry to hear. Best of luck to you, brother.

Why didn't you look and secure a job before you turned in your 2 week notice?

I hear you brother! Business is ****ing slow everywhere. I'm a consultant for a litigation company in Beverly Hills and these are the worst times I have seen in my entire career. Last year I made so much money because the economy was still good but this year I have made close to nothing. It really sux for everyone. Every market is being affected. I truly hope our next president doesn't mess it up any further.

Customs/Immigration, anyone?: usajobs.opm.gov (for all Federal openings); cbp.gov (for
Customs/Immigration, specifically).
CBPO, CBP, DHS
P.S. Good salary, fringe benefits, perks, TDYs abroad, Cash Awards, Dinner-For-Two Awards, FLAP, etc. Good hunting!

Makes sense. Now that the economy is in the sh*tter people are getting laid off left and right and it's becoming increasingly difficult to find a job. Just keep being persistent...something will come along.

Are you considering jumping into into a new field? Possibly of what your backup job is in?

Yep, FLAP, not fap! (Foreign Language Award Program--you get 5% of your annual base
pay as a bonus, for speaking/writing a language other than English, in November; great for those "X-mas" expenses!!!) All in all, it's been a great experience, both in the military AND in the Civilian svce.

Arnaldo, are you in the Customs service or were you in it?

I have seriously contemplated joining Customs.
